Really stupid bg change. Now players will reroll their toons at 42. Why cap rr now is 2.9? What can you do with rr2l9 and new ras in uthgard? For this rr cap implement old ras, they are cheaper than new ras.

Item exchange its really crazy=rusian rullette.


I understand GMs want live like old server, but this is imposible. Uthgard have not 3k players population and 600 players doing rvr in every moment. Uthgard need rvr motivation and this mean:

Easy template: increase drop and repop rates in important mobs. Reimplement tajendi.
RPs after dead: full rp gain.
Higher bg rp cap: 2l9 its a joke(while uthgard will have new ras).

In short: easy mode server? Why not implement /level 50 and give RR5 for free, so players can start faster? Maybe even allow buying dragon and DF items for real world money, so players can get some extra stuff, if they want. Oh, and for god's sake, allow Buff bots, They're livelike too!

Your really lack the proper view for assessing uthgard, as you mix up your "I want X" with "Uth is supposed to be X", which seem to deviate quite a lot.
How to speed up bug fixing process:
1. One bug per bug report - side-discussions make it hard to find information on the actual bug, while fixing it.
2. Video proofs are best and mostly indiscussable if done correctly. For some bugs Screenshots are as good.
3. Never forget to check patchnotes (1.70+), for changes that invalidate the bug report.
4. Keep all the information in the initial post, even if gathered later, so the devs have easy access to them.
5. To discuss a possible bug make a thread elsewhere (support or general forum). Keep Bugreport-Forum free of unconfirmed bugs.
6. Stick to this report-template: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=13415
7. Check the bug reports section (and sub sections) and use forum search. Maybe the bug has already been reported.

Your sarcasm will not help to increase rvr in frontiers.

What are the exchange items? Wasn't it planned to hand out a list for the items? Espacially if there will be one also the rare/special and otd items should be included like tear of tajendi (dropped and farmable one), cloak of tajendi, broken sword... just to mention a few....

What Blue is talking about is the Master Smith showing you the item you would get in exchange. What Abydos said before was that we were not going to publish a list/table with all items displayed.
You seriously should learn how to talk to Abydos if you want to be a player. ;)

To be honest, it is hard enough with rr 4l2 atm in emain when you got always sticked to death by rr8-12 zerkers from one of the threemillion midgrps. 2l9 under current ra setup should be nearly unplayable (except the rest of your grp has a decent rr of course). do not forget, there is no zerg on uthgard where you can hide with rr2 and gain a higher rr to close the gap. most of the times there is not even another grp running for 16slot. So happy tasking.

Dont say it too loud, they removed already lot of kind of task (that people used to raise their rps at that time), and they probably remove the remaining task too, so just happy quit the game when they will do it.

There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:

Jessmin, I am and always will be in favor of a consistent approach to server development. I believe that if you want to return the game to a state that existed in "live classic era," you have to recreate that environment to be as authentic as possible. Custom changes of any sort fly in contradiction to developing the server towards that end. Look at the mess and wasted development time that custom changes cause - Tajendi for example has now been responsible for staff WASTING time implementing it, bug fixing it, and now creating a reimbursement system for those with custom items.

They're now proposing adding a new BG, another waste of time to add something that didnt exist at the time that they state they are trying to recreate. I call these a waste of time because the features that DID exist at the period and are currently missing are not being investigated/developed actively. Basic things like are missing like pet classes (BD, necromancer) and abilities like the enchanter pet line, not to mention numerous combat mechanic bugs and so on and so forth.

I believe that "if you build it, they will come" - meaning that if you recreate the 1.69 game environment to be as authentic as possible, and advertise it as such - people will come to this server as a curiosity to see how things were in years past and the population will grow, benefiting everyone.

didnt you sax that durability/ con will be set to 100/100 when degeneration will be implemented ? why take over current durability

edit: also not in favor of custom modifications like rr missions earlier and now additional bg. please stay consistrnt or consider other player helping customizations aswell. its the lack of consistency that bothers me

Hm, one more question: Can you stay even with max. rr in these "new" battlegrounds (livelike), or will you not be able to port back after rr cap and release/log out (custom)?
