Everyone knows that the minstrel is one oft best supporter chars on daoc. The majority of all minstrel players is playing this char just because of its strong ability to "help" the group in combat. Just a few people choose this char to rock almost alone - to solo, for example in RvR.

I have never heared about people who play the minstrel, just to make money with it or solo lvl. (actually its because I started playing daoc again a few weeks ago ) I heared that the Minstrel is weak in combat or so.... I don't know.

For a player who wants to lvl quick and to own ppl in rvr, almost solo - is the minstrel the right choice? Is it possible to lvl and farm solo, without grouping or is it required for a minstrel to group in lvling and rvr?

i'd suggest a paladin for first time - levelling time is ok, you almost cannot die in normal pvm situations and you can farm higher level mobs really well later.
