I have played my Theurg for years on live without conc3 and most times without moc and was still able to cast. But now i knew that i have done it totaly wrong. And it would had made my life so much easier, just stand in the middle of the fight and press the green button.

Well, here is just about chatting and discussing about chars\pvp balance. Most of us played every setup in many patches all around the world so is not really an opinion or another that changes our perception \ vision.

If you don't agree, just explain why! and please not in german.. google translator didn't help much!

After reading pretty much all the posts, I decided that I will play an Armsman which would be a decent spec for it, and also which RAs should I go for first?

For leveling spec crush baseline weapon skill to autotrain both slash and thrust skill (arms doesn't autotrain crush) at level 48 you could respec but you'll need a respec stone. At the begining it'll be very rare and expensive. So imo keep specced in crush baseline weapon skill and respec later.

Basically the spec is :

xx+yy=51 in base dmg
50+yy in polearm
42+yy in shield
rest in parry/crossbow

With high RR you can have
51 in base dmg (with bonus)
50 in pole
50 in shield

Or

51 in base dmg slash
51 in base dmg thrust
50 in pole
42 in shield

What would be decent visible duos to play with old RAs? Ideally they should also be accepted in 8vs8, but that is not a must. Duo should be able to perform well against other duos and stealthgroups.

Bard + eld/bm?
Pac healer + rm?
Sorc + cleric?

Well i would prefer a bard + bm duo. I like to run with full speed and its a long way from dl to emain

Ok from atk to amg is close but i prefer hib this time

Im quite convinced that there is no stronger duo than bard+eld, it just offers almost everything you could want out of a duo.

For Hib Bard + Ench
Alb Minstrel + Scout

Without emergency buttons like MoC AM or SoS you will die alot though ^^

this duo is prone to resists and u ll ve a hard time vs stealthers which are one of your most frequent enemies if u run duo.
looks great in theory daoc, but i would not recommend it.

I think both arguments are invalid with Old ra's - with new ra's you might be right.

33 regrowth bard has plenty of heals, with Purge being on a 30min timer stealthers are simply easymode to control, instamezzes + qc stuns. Eld has a backup mezz, disease, snare and red nearsight is just extremely poweful with purge on a 30min timer and will be an autowin against alot of duos.
Light eld dmg is more than enough when fighting vs unbuffed resists - mentioning ench over eld for duo with old ra's is simply terrible.

Anyways if you want to keep discussing about setups use another thread please, it just leads to confusion for people who want an adivce.
