High time to revive this thread
1.) I have a question concerning advanced evade (the full 360° evade). There has been discussion in this thread about how it should work, but it seemed inconclusive. Is it affected by your entire evade rating (e.g. Bersi could have a 360° rating of Evade III + Dodger 5) or is it always Evade I? 2.) Could an armsmen frontload group work (no haste/qui buffs/no qui in temp/slowest pole)? Something like: Sorc Cab Minst 2xClerics 3xArms |

2) considering that oldschool hibs groups were running debf haste + warden pbt and that mid grp also are permanently running haste debuff and most of the time a rm with blue\red pbt you have no dps Don't need to list my chars to recall you who I am

1.) Advanced evade is available to all offtanks (Zerker,Svg,merc,BM) but that does only mean that they are able to evade attacks from every angle, the formula used is still the same. Every level of evade adds a 5% base chance. evasion rating = (evade * 5) + (((dex + qui) - 100) / 40) this is the formula, plus a maximum of 15% extra from dodger V. 2.) The problem with alb grps is that they have to run a Paladin most likely, or be permanently lacking endurance, because endu reg potions last 2 minutes but are on a 3 minute timer if my Information is correct. What Steel- said is correct aswell, no quick arms will have an extremely hard time as soon as they face a hib grp that has a warden. I'm not entirely sure if albs will have to run with a Paladin, but on paper daoc it looks like they have to, even tho the chant range is terrible and most people will be out of endurance anyways because of that. |

Due to pot timers and old school tireless, I assume paladins will be necessary in alb groups?
Pala has much less DPS to pressure the enemy than an Arms. Even worse, palas have no determination. Doesn't this considerably weaken Alb groups if their main deftank will spend most of his time cc'd? |

could be german OchUi.. looks really like this (i am using ochui and i dont really notice a different) but maybe there are other uis with similar look lg Sami Langsam und stetig ernährt sich das Murmeltier

i would love to know what you think about the spearo vs LW
for what i know you can use thrust and slash dmg with the spear and just switch the spears. But the back stun with LW + slash dmg kick ass back in time. And why not a piercing luri with Hi MoB! i remember doing good dmg in rvr with a fews buff up. been playing since 2002.. i just dont remember 1.65. dont tell me i need to wear RF on my hero |

Hero wears scale armor. LW has superior damage and you can switch slash/crush damage types, which is good. Spear has backsnare and is pierce. What many do is go 50 LW and 7 spear (backsnare at 6), 10 blades (for sidesnare), 50 shield (better guard), rest parry, for having all benefits, you'll just have to do a lot of switching. Concerning race: Although spear is pierce, the damage is calculated purely on strength. For this reason, Firbolg is the best choice. If you do the actual calculations, you will see that high starting dex only marginally affects block in the end. Imo, it's just not worth it to take Luri and lose damage just for 2% more block. Also, the way defense calculation works, the overall effective defence is just over 2% more for luri, hardly making him the greater "blockmonster". |

guess im wrong about the spear dmg type on the hero. i thought there was slash and thrust on different weapon, might be another class using spear like mids. and i was joking about the RF armor! in the olds days some people where wearing RF good resistance against slash dmg i think. considering mids and albs doing mostly slash dmg.. i wont !
