So what kind of spec are you planning on running on your champions on Uth 2.0?
|
|
50 LW 50 Val 28 parry
42 shield 50 valor 39 weap 42 shield 50 LW 39 valor |
|
celt
42 shild 50 valor 34 lw 20 parry switching in duels |
|
There's two main ways to spec a champion, two-hand or Shield.
Both should have at least 40 something valor, if not you're better off rolling a Hero because they do way more dps with weapons alone. most popular are 50valor, 50lw, rest in parry & 50 valore, 42shield, 34 weapon, 20 parry. |

Thanks for all the help! Seems like shield would be really useful if I was running about solo to pop engage when archers engage me but really wanna swing big clubs at ******.
|
|
gotta swing that club man, annihilation's 9sec stun is a beast. |
|
if going shield spec and not into LW.. what spec line is the best to take? i was looking at what each line offers and piercing seems to look the best, but that is based on dex/qui stats if im not mistaken right?

My philosophy for Uth 2.0 and the champ is based on the lack of Determination RA. Without that, it cannot compete with Hero or BM in the more serious 8man. Following that logic, I play and spec Champ for fun and small man/solo, where the lack of Det still hurts, but the flexability of champ 'rupts and higher alpha damage can help end a battle before it starts.
So I spec for versatility. 39 Valor. Misses the 40 Str/Con which is a blow, but high enough for debuffs to be effective. And, while Str/Con is good, the debuffs are vital. This is the lowest you can spec Valor and land debuffs with reasonable confidence. 50 LW. Because hitting hard with alpha damage is important. Debuffs not only cost power, but End too. Champs, without a bard, have a harder time in long drawn out attrition fights. And small man doesn't always run with a bard, or does with a battle bard. 42 Shield. Annihilation is the most powerful style in the game, but you have to be able to position to use it. The defensive block couples nicely with any time stun. Have to use it judiciously though, because it does sap a large chunk of end. Again, small man often runs with warden instead of bard. The bubbles couple nicely with block. 6 parry. This could go to spec a taunt in either pierce or blade. But at 6 spec you'll have a fairly hefty penalty to hit high level targets. If you are using "throw away" spec, use it most effectively. |

50 LW (Anni ofc)
50 Valor (Why wouldn't you want best of everything?) 12 Blades (Side Snare at 10) 10 Shield (Engage) 24 Parry (remaining pts) Leaves 1 pt left over:) Need to sacrifice a fair bit for Slam, getting behind other players is not that hard a lot of the time (imagine face to face with caster or support, more than likely they will run therefore Anni). Bit of practice and I am sure it would work. |

Its not too late to reroll BM or Hero and be useful.

Honestly Annihilation is pretty much a Anytime Slam-Like Stun, even in duel is VERY EASY to pull it off, if it was a Side-Stun it would have been hard in certain situation, but a Back-Stun is pretty much an Anytime...
The real problem of the Champion is the lack of Determination, if this Class had Determination as a RA it would be a Must-Have for 8v8... But the reality is that this Class does not have it... Same is for the ValeWalker, that the only lack that the Class have is the lack of Determination. Paladinodimerda <-> 4l2 Avalonian Paladin - LWRP: 1

Groups will have potentially 2 x Grp Purge and Champs own personal purge?
Granted not as all time reliable as Det, but still a case for a Champ? Maybe not:) Shame really as I have always liked the class. |
|
It's true, and could work at the first Inc... But no one will Group you for only one fight...

I'd never gp for a Champ, there are more important things like (uncureable) NS or box mezz/ichor situations.
Accept that half the classes are useless for group play at this patch level. Part of the "nostalgia" i guess. uwu ~ orz

What is the purpose of 50 valor, 42 shield, 39 weapon? Is this a PvE and 1v1 dueling only spec?
