So how does it work for a reaver, I want to do a build 50flex,42shield,41sr,rest parry.
The question is because I can't remember for the life of me, when I go to respec from crush or slash while AT must I respec at 40 or risk losing my respec? or can I save it till lvl 48 and get all the pts that I will need. I really wanna start a reaver for my first chr, but I know auto training is really important for them. or am I just fudged and have to lvl something else first and PL a reaver up from 1-50? |

I don't know if they will have auto-training and whether or not it will be implemented correctly. Genesis gives it to you for free.

You need FULL autotrain for this spec and uthgard use old autotrain. Go hammer until 48 and farm to buy a respec stone

Yeah, I was hoping to not have to farm for a respec stone.
Think I'm gonna lvl to 40 as crush and respec out of it and lvl miserably for 8 lvls. |

those are the WORST lvls to lvl this way!!! It's the thrill of the chase

Crush is not so bad for lvling in grp. Reaver doesn't do dmg till 50anyway.

Well, while we're reaver discussing it up which race is best Reaver? I was thinking Saracen, but I remember seeing alot of Inconnus. I personally don't like inconnu because of how the hold flexibles and the big eyes.

Go Saracen. Can't go wrong with 80 base DEX. And since their style procs are based off STR/DEX they're a bit better than Briton/Inconnu in that regard also.

[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt [3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck

some ppl like inconnu resists, and they start with higher con than saracen It's the thrill of the chase

I came here to see if crush spec is going to be viable.
Or if AT is even worth it w/ reavers. I'm currently lvl 5, all points in Soul right now. |

IMO AT isn't really worth going with boring crush. I personally love Flex because you have access to slash and crush with the weapons. It depends on if you like crush. You can auto level to 12, if you're tired of crush dive into flex. auto train isn't end all be all IMO and sometimes not worth the pain-particularly with assassins were most of your DPS comes from stealth based attacks. ALWAYS autotrain, its worth suffering 1-50 with crush (which is very decent skill line) and then being the best you can be 50+. Why worry about the first month or two. Would you rather your toon be good for a month then bad for years or bad for a month then the best it could be for many years? |
|
Yeah as bad as it sucks to auto train, do it. You'll regret not doing AT down the road.
Also you'll constantly think about rerolling if you fudge up your spec. Loyal Armsman of the Round Table.

When ATing all the way to 48 there is the issue of no respec stones existing at the moment (if I understand correctly). There is the possibility that you can get one in the future from a dragon raid but even this might be hard depending how flexible (see what I did there) you are with gaming times. Therefore I'm more worried about gimping myself for possibly a prolonged time if I'm not flexible spec come lvl50 so I'm respeccing at 40 and using the extra points for a slightly higher parry.
Would there even be a significant difference between 36sr and 41sr? The pbaoe is surely irrelevant and, although nice, I don't know how much difference would a 83->106 value insta lifedrain once or twice in a fight make? |
|
I'm going to respec to flex at 40 as well. Im won't go 41 SR even if I AT all the way to 48. Spells get resisted, are situational and are in a timer. I prefer having a higher parry rate than a higher delve life tap.
