this is a joke right ? classic daoc is harder for clerics. wanna hear some points ?

- mana management
- nearsight not curable
- no grp cure disease
- harder dmg spikes due to no BG and less defense mechanics ( defensive procs, battlemaster, hybrid viability in grp, ... )

you always want your healers ready to heal really fast. cant have that when they need to perma target that nec pet.

This reminds me of the only time that I remember grouping with 3 necros when I played Cleric. But it was only Thid 24 BG, not 50 RvR. I had enough healing for the spec group heal so I used that and kept the pets alive. And easier than knowing which pet to click on to heal if they ask you to heal their pet.

Yes 250 af debuff should be really strong, worth a try at least.

I was going to stay quiet about necro group since I don't want anyone running it but since the can of worms has been opened....

The necro comp can work vs tank groups but is not very good vs casters.

You're also going to want at least one minstrel (which necro groups have a hard time fitting) early on since action won't be 1-2 groups from each realm just fighting in emain.

Between necros not getting the CL dot here, not having the paladin celerity to beat down the debuffed target, and euros being fans of running casters...I would not run it near launch time here.

1 year from now when all that's out in emain is 1 mid tank group and 1 hib tank group? Sure, bring out the necro counter crew.

The only issue with the necro on this server would be buffing it. It's worth a test to see how much abs you lose by buffing the necro itself or just the pet.

I suppose it isn't the end of the world if you couldn't fully buff a pet, as long as it can get the AF debuff out- but the pet would be a lot squishier, and easier to take out of the fight without the cc-immune zombie.

if the pet isn't fully buffed it's going to get shredded after being hit with debuffs.

it's not worth trying.

This!

No buffbots, no necros, or at least they are much weaker then they should.

Double bard is effective but unnecessary if one of the bards is a great player. Will most likely see double bards with groups that can't find a stellar bard.

I'd be very surprised to see req or fatality run 2 bards

That's exactly the point, if Cait wants to play Bard again we just need someone to correct his mistakes. :!:

Mistakes? Cait is fine as he is! In fact, I can totally recall a screenshot of Neada saying that, if he could, Cait would clone himself and run a fg on his own! :D

(I ain't even joking, Cait is one of the finest bard on Uth)
