Kobi svg all day long. F.uck pf u just go and 1-2shot casters. Trolls are so easy to target.the kobi svg will just pop in front of the caster and blow him up.

How does Skald compare to Berserker/Savage in terms of damage? I recon Skald will be behind said classes although are they still looked upon to be part of RvR groups?

Or what else can you tell about Skald in 1.65 patch? (Might be offtopic but whatever, better than start a new topic I guess :D )

Skald isn't really related to bers or svg. It's a bard class, you have ranged snare and mezz and you have speed, regen, attack, and resist songs that buff your group mates which you swap between as needed.

Offensively you have comparatively gimpy melee and ranged DD to a class that is purely focused on either, Skald have a bit of everything but not great at anything specific. They are mostly popular because of speed chant. Healer speed is much weaker. If you wanna go fast as mid you gotta have skald.

I am new to Uthgard, but I played alot back in the days on EU/Excalibur server. As far as I remember Skalds were not popular in 8man groups. Aug healer/RM speed + permasprint was enough for roaming. Apart from speed5 skald brings nothing essential to the group. No determination, low weaponskill, no shield spec. Skalds became popular when new RAs were introduced, when skalds got SoS and AM.

just curious and didnt want to open a new thread,
what about "Dualist's Reflexes" for svg, will it also increase the triple/quad hit chance? couldn't find any real facts in the last 2 years here in the forums

Grab Bag from Mythic:
The realm ability raises your chance to get a second attack. It doesn't directly influence the triple or the quad hit chances, but it mathematically helps in an indirect way - your second attack is a prerequisite for your third attack, and so on. So by increasing your chances to get a second, you're automatically upping your chances to GET a third, and then a forth. So the answer is the RA only helps get more double attacks, but the effect will trickle down into your other attacks.

I can tell you this is working now on Uthgard ;)

true hybrid grps are the strongest and best way to do it in mid is dropping the skald. anyway most people are to lazy nowadays for these tryhard setups. prolly we will see alot full melee push till infinity with speed6 grps, they are slightly worse as a hybrid grps but also needs way less effort
