I think a lot of people reading this post are forgetting how hard it is to take a level 10 keep! This isn't genesis people - keeps are going to be traded like candy.

This new system looks wonderful and will really lead to some exciting fights and give the game a bigger sense of strategy!

do champions get determination?

do berserkers get dodger realm ability

do savages get dodger??


can champions kill anyone or are they a joke?

do valewalkers get dodger or determination?

Will name reclaiming work for Open Beta? Or just for live?

Can any staff member comment on that?

It might be tested at some point, whether it will be active throughout the beta we don't know yet.

It's totally crazy and will for sure provide some unpredictable results / tactics.

Sources report the following guild has been formed to exploit this...or as you say, 'tactics' :wink:

Guild Mission:

Maintain full time control of DC and patrol the crossroad at all times.

Anyone who enters the crossroads in Emain will be flagged as an intruder and swift justice will come crashing down upon them....aided by the damage bonus provided by DC :D

No complains about cross realming please
I can't see anyone logging different realm because of that ;)
One realm has relics.everyone loggs that realm. Getting keeps easily because of numbers.wow 8)

If a realm (guild) achieves that %59 damage add, that would truely be awesome but impossible to sustain for a lengthy period of time. I can see this formula inviting great carnage to the realm that achieves the %54 (aside for the guild(s) that has the %5 bonus... I like this. Would the realm go "Aw, shucks, we can't 8v8!" <moan> and <groan> as you wish. No, they would be compelled to join in the realm activity of achieving a greater balance before going back to 8v8. Or....they could continue to 8v8 at a <moan> and <groan> disadvantage.

I like it! It's awesome!

Why didn't DAOC do this years ago or even now on live?

It's looking like HIb and Mid will be about equal and Alb being underpopulated.

Think thats mostly for the 8vs8 groups. My guess is that alb will have plenty people. Many people don't care what realm has better ra or is more comfortable in 8vs8. And they just play and aren't really forum active.
