Ways in which it will be better and worse?
more or less viable in PVP in your opinion. |

Weird phrasing.
If you're asking if going full nature as a druid is a good idea, then I can tell you right now that it is not. You're sacrificing way too many points into nature, which are points that people will expect you to put into other things. You could try some kind of tri-spec hybrid, but then you'll just suck at everything, and then you're not technically a nature druid, so I don't really include that option in this discussion. You must at least have 30 regrowth for the first spread heal, otherwise you're pretty worthless in RvR. And if you go 30 Regrowth, your buffs will be garbage, unless you ignore nature altogether. If you go nature, you will have the lowest spread heal (which is fine), but your spec buffs will be horrible, and it would mean that in order for you to have a place in a group, you'd have to play with another druid that is high-nurture. If you intend to play on Uthgard casually, and participate in keep takes, keep defense, and just completely ignore the 8-man aspect of the game... then you can spec whatever you wan't, and play whichever class you want. TL;DR: Don't go high-nature if you intend to play 8v8. Siege - Warrior
Envoy - Bard Aegis - Blademaster Ethical - Mentalist |

i know there is a spec 20 nature spec you could try that would be alright, it would give ya a stun pet.
rest i'd go is 35 regrowth 35 nurt, or 30 regrowth 40 nurt. but sadly i wouldn't do much for higher nat. |

I know this stuff because I had a nature druid on the last Uthgard that I got to 4l7
I'm just asking if it will be worse or better in any way. Any important RAs I won't have anymore, pet better at all, etc. |
|
As a group druid you'd usually want to go 40 nurture 30 regrowth 20 nature or 40 nurture 35 regrowth 8 nature. The first spec grants you a pet that stuns and a mediocre aoe root (that I'd use only to rupt casters standing on top of each other), second spec grants better heals (duh). There are also other specs to go, like 44 nurture 31 regrowth for purple acuity and s/c, but it's less common than those two previously listed.
Different story if you're aiming on soloing, or if you're joining a premade group: in this case the only possible way to run a nature druid is to have a 3 druid setup, 2 of which are specced in a "normal" way so that there are enough spec buffs for everyone. The nature druid's task in a group is more focused on rupting, even though you will have to heal too. |

if you want to play solo nature druid and go... say, stealth hunting, i think that without ML/CL, artifacts, new RAs and therelike you will have a much harder time, although i think, with a lot of effort, determination and willingness to play that build, you can be semi successfull. but as stated before, i wouldnt recommend it. i think u will be disappointed after having invested a lot of time and resources and then, switch your build or even the class.
tl;dr possible, but try at your own risk of being really frustrated (and to answer your question: it will be worse on uth2.0 imho) |

For solo pve maybe.. But for pvp not..
On live i would do it, but not here. Better roll a cave shaman then. |

I was curious if Battle bards are viable on here? I remember them being pretty good back in the day.
|

I played a battle bard and had some success. Some classes are nigh unbeatable but I'd say at least 70% are.

Battle bards are fun in solo/small man, but for group RvR only your friends will group with ya ^^ i did team up with a very nice bard would did melee alot but managed to keep up end/speed and rupts going almost 90% of the time. if i remember right his spec was: regrowth 27 Nurt 43 Music 37 Blades 19 if you find your self always pushing or a back up bard you might beable to lower the Nurt down to 33 and get higher points into the others ^^ |

Hey mayne...
I used to main natty druid. Going full nature is decent if you can find camps where the mobs don't hit like trucks. The DA, DS, and pet can be a nice pull auto combo if you're multi-tasking. But no one wants a full nature druid. You won't kill anything in pvp either. You'll look to run high regrowth and get your insta roots in nature. I think a yellow aoe root or blue. I don't remember. But don't go full natty in the long run. Just level with it a little. ![]() Take all you can - give nothing back.

Just to establish the setting.
I played a Nature Druid and had a lot of fun with it, I've killed many, many classes and players. I was just wanting to know if they're going to worse, or better in this patch level. |
|
Not sure why you're asking if you have so much experience with them.
The nature druid hasn't had much of a history. They're same ole same ole. No MLs. No artys. So...worse because you can't steroid your pet and use toys. Take all you can - give nothing back.

My only DAoC experience is uthgard 1.0 which was on a different patch and different realm abilities.
Didn't know how those would affect a nature druid. If for the better, I'd probably reroll a nature druid, if for the worse I will not |

To draw an analogy, and see if you agree here, a nature druid is a Mill deck in MTG. Your actions are Auto-attack grinding away at your opponent and actively mitigating/healing damage. Your big opportunities for win condition are when you can heal more and apply fresh DoT.
The specific change to Druid RA is a loss of some important mitigation and healing options. If you've played the druid before, then you likely have a good handle on how to value those and their subsequent loss. Next you look at the RAs of the typical opponents you'll be facing. I would contend that the changes to their RAs will, like yours, mostly impact defensive options. They will still be just as offensively capable as before. So, if your offense hasn't changed, and their offense hasn't changed (significantly) then that is a wash. But if their (significant) defense hasn't changed and yours has gotten "worse", then I'd say you'll be having a much harder time of it. |
