Yeah my buddy is still having this error and he's done everything that is recommended. He has both the redistributable file and the net framework 4.6 but alas still errors.

Has there been any headway on this issue? He's running Vista but seems more people are also having this error.

This error could also be caused by a slow network. Check your ping and try again.

The launcher won't run on Vista or Win XP. Something about the TLS level that it has to support? There are a couple threads on it. As yet, Vista and XP won't be able to run Uth 2.0. Disappointing, but that's the current status.

The launcher now works on Windows Vista. The TLS level has been fixed in issue #6.
However it does not always work on Windows XP.

Did you properly patch your install by connecting to live servers first?

Then go for it!
Patch your DAoC with live servers by launching the official Camelot.exe.
Then run the uthgard launcher. It will download the client package and install it over your DAoC directory.
After that everything should run okay!

Just for Information, as I solved MY Problem and perhaps it will help others...
Running Win10 I read about downloading the C++ runtime 2015 x86 part, but seeing there is a x64 I somehow assumed this would be the 64bit Version used by me instead (dumb as I am ^^). This did NOT work, so just reinstalling the C++ runtime 2015 x86 really solved this Problem.
Good luck to all of you now.

On a new Windows 11 machine, I can confirm that you have to install C++ runtime 2015 x86 part, and not the x64 that is by default suggested from the download.

This fixed the injection problem, .NET is impossible to update as 4.8 is part of windows 11 and you can not change that.
