How does 44 Scythe, 47 Arb, 14 parry sound for a solo/small group spec?

The lvl 50 Scythe style seems powerful but almost impossible to pull off...

Thoughts?

50 scythe = more WS So because of the new defense penetration formula your hits will be less evaded parryed blocked...

So you will trade 6 points worth of Weapon Skill against The highest Disease proc, the highest snare, more reliable life drain nukes and 14 parry.

Hmm.... A tough choice imo

If I remember correctly, Feuille was a very high RR VW on Uthgard 1.0.

I would listen to him.
Siege - Warrior
Envoy - Bard
Aegis - Blademaster
Ethical - Mentalist

44Scythe, 46 arb, rest parry

This is a very dominate spec. Higher parry lets you pull off the parry chain which is alot of damage.

The only reason to go 50 scyth was later down the road when the scythe line was changed and the 50 style had a big dd proc added.

I played my VW for along time and had no problem 1v1 or even 1v2 with 44scythe 46 arb.

I would recomend getting dodger and moparry. You become a defensive friar yet hit like a truck, and reactionary chains just destory people.

what does exactly the offensive proc disease.
the only thing i see going from 43 arbo to 46 is getting the last disease offensive proc.
keeping 44 scythe it will help to raise parry to 23 instead of 17.

can someone explain to me how this proc works and what are the effects ?
i never played a VW, i m really expecting some lights from confirmed VW players since i m just a curious guy

You get a "proc disease" buff.

With this buff, there's a chance to cast "Disease" on your target when hitting it with a weapon.

A diseased target is snared for 10% and all healing done to the target is reduced by 50%, dont quote me on that though, i might remember the details wrong.

I think you are correct to go 43 arb at this patch time and have higher Parry. The reason to go to 46 was added with alate patch and Vws got a group red damage add at 46 along with an insta disease.

the yellow disease proc is good enough. Like others said it is basically a small snare and reduces healing recieved. it also lowers the targets strength by like 60 or so, lower their weapon skill, so you will also have a higher evade / parry chance
