Hello
I am looking to seek advice - I have played the game a long time but never Mid. How viable is a Suppression SM in terms of: 1) Levelling to 50 2) Being able to farm gold/seals 3) RvR (less important not really interested in 8v8 anymore) My main concern is I have noticed in the BETA that there are not many casters used for farming DF for example and cash flow is what I am after - I like to craft so I want to have as much gold potential as possible. Would you recommend a Zerker instead? Or perhaps a healer? Thank you in advance. |

I'd say, SM PBAOE is definitely viable. Your pet will (or should) intercept attacks.
I played an SM a long time ago in ToA, it was okay. It was even better in SI though. There were many fights where I just mezzed, then pbae'd my targets to death. However, back then, your pet intercepts were VERY frequent. It saved my life more than you'd think. If you want to solo farm, just roll a BD. |

Played one back in the day and have a 22 supp SM now . id say very viable solo but more so grouped . any group that can heal and take aggro away from you while you can blast away is going to roll alot faster than one without a supp SM . ideally imo 2-3 sms a healer / sham and a few tanks is the best PvE group around having more than 1 sm assures that when one takes aggro the other can keep casting . soloing is also an option i send the pet out let it get the mob to about 80 -85% then start blasting away . of course i wouldnt try this on anything except blue-orange and even orange is a pain in the arse at best blues and yellows are the key easy for your pet to hit and less mana to drop it with aoe and as long as you can wipe them and stay about 50% power youll regain faster with no healer at hand
