Although in the 'server new features' the webpagelauncher has been advertised as the most secure and useful login method, taking their own server down is the fastest way to indirectly take down the server and preventing new logins.
But why should they do that?
Don't know. Anyway, i think that by this time they should have already acknowledged it and start to take corrective actions.
It is sunday, afternoon. How come no staff member has yet answered anything about the issue? "Yes, we know", "we're doing this and that", "no ETA", "will be done when it will be done"...

Enabling the launcher would not help anything as it would be unable to update your client and therefor not connect.

Still down for me, cant get on main page and therefore cant login :S

working now ... is this us all having network issues or whats behind this ... while I don't care if I login via launcher or webpage the website login/play thing does not seem a reliable solution?
a slightly more helpful comment than Trishins defensive "launcher would also not work" would be appreciated
