**Disclaimer, this thread is not officially in use until approved by forum moderator. At which time, this note will be delete**

I would like to suggest admin/moderator to create a sticky subforum for guild recruitment and advertising. After browsing through the forums, I see lots of LFG posts with no responses and also, it's semi cluttering the alb/mid/hib forums.

Please make a guild recruitment subforum for guilds to post *Recruiting* threads where players can browse their content, play times, play styles, member counts, etc and better vett a guild that suits their desires.

If this is desired, you can delete the rest of the post above the following paragraph and sticky this as the intro thread...

Welcome Midgardian warriors to the Great Guild Hall. Here, the leadership of our vast spread of guilds can leave representation of their guild's rights and glories to assist in recruiting the best warriors for their clan. We know Midgard is composed of many tribes and races and each brings their own heritage and honorable values to the table. Let us match them to the best guild for them!

Guild representatives, please feel free to create a new thread here and boast about your guild. You're welcome to add any specifics you feel will help you grow, but here are some basic suggestions:

:::GUILD RECRUITERS:::
Guild Name
Rough roster count
Playstyle - 8v8, hardcore rvr, softcore rvr, pve etc.
Time zone most active
A little about your guild
What you are looking for in a player
Recruiter contacts or website links

This is your space, spice it up all you want

:::PLAYERS SEARCHING FOR GUILD:::
Please do not create a thread that you are looking for guild. Guilds will not search for you, you should search for the guilds.

Post on a potential guild's individual thread and a representative from that guild will contact you.

I haven't got any hits on this or even many views. I am just trying to help promote activity on forum and provide another layer of social cohesion for the community. I'd love to help uthgard grow and any input into this topic would be appreciated.

Do most players just float starter guilds until 40s+ for easier grouping? I ean, that makes sense to me, but higher level guilds can still occupy here.

Any feedback?

So no guilds run beyond their 8man? I'm sure there are larger guilds that could use this.

After browsing the forums...it really feels like the community is not very engaged on here. Was thinking if we gave more reasons to visit the forums, more people would participate. Most topics have a dozen replies and usually the same people on every topic. I could just be used to my last community that had hundreds of posts a day and intermingling, competition, guides, server announceents, patch notes etc being posted regularly. Made for a great community.

Your last community....was the game live? Maybe the forums will pick up when the server actually launches. Beta population is not representative of what live will see.

Compared to Return of Reckoning's forums these are super dead. I'm not criticizing, just pointing it out. I mean it's a fair comparison, similar numbers involved on both (RoR and Uth) servers, it's just this community is less active on the forums?

Exactly. I feel like the lack of content on forums is why no one frequents them. Just thought breathing some life into forum could establish more of a community interaction. When I look at all the forum posts, it just looks like a few people even use it.

Uthgard community is hyper cliqueish and they stick to the people they know or who they have meet. The community is in a sad state of affairs and new people will not find the game very welcoming, on the forums at least the noob guilds in game aren't nearly as terrible. Whenever I go into a new game I usually look at guild recruitment threads, find a guild which is appropriate to what I am looking for (play style, temperament, maturity, play time) which is usually the basics and then take the time to write a thorough application or do an interview or whatever they require (I personally believe in this system as it filters out the lazy people who can't put minimal effort forward) as this lets them get to know me and I get to know them and their priorities.

I much prefer leveling with the people I plan to play with @ 50 because we gain familiarity with one another and learn strengths/weaknesses or what to improve upon together which only makes us better for what we are all here for, 48+ RvR.

Hopefully this mentality changes over the course of Beta, but based on 1.0 experience I doubt that it will.

I make/have made topics for discussion in the past and get little to no response, and have sent PMs to people on these forums who seem knowledgeable and often get no response... the mentality is garbage, and I don't quite get it.

Unfortunatley, I think you may be right on most of this. I by no means am trying to bash the community or say the staff isn't promoting correctly, but I think we could spice up the community by drawing more people to the forums. Open development Q&A, active guild recruitment, realm event announcements, a regularly posted patch notes, links to informative content for new players, etc.

the staff will probably start up patch notes after relaunch. also keep in mind a lot of people read but do not write on the forums.
