Hey all,

I wondered what race is the best to make, elf or lurikeen?

Is the extra +5 dex worth it for a lurikeen?

or

does the extra +10 int make more of a difference

Also what would you recommend puting your starting points into for each race?

please share your thoughts

I'd go elf for damage dealers.

Elf for slightly more damage and manapool

plus your targets will always be visible for your toon 8)

I'd put 15 Int 10 Dex at start

female small luri all day long.
first priority is not to get caught. you cant get caught if they aint see you.
make a luri, much better choice.

Dps wise there is almost no difference between int and dex. you ve slightly more mana as an elf, but the sneakyness of a luri is much more important in rvr.

goes without saying that you should run undyed without cloak and no glow effect staff
if you do that, no way an elf is even close to be as good as a luri.

Luri for sure.
Elf for pve menta/ench but nothing else :)

And i´d go for 15dex 10int
Formerly known as
Touareg- RR10 noobVW on Uth1.
Crossfire- RR7 noobAnimist on Uth1.
Ohnoes- RR9 noobAnimist on Lolgins.

luri 15 dex, 10 int. 100% the best choice for any hib caster except voidelds and pve mentas.

Let me be blunt.

Higher dex means higher cast time. (and i am VERY confident that dex breakpoints will be slowly figured out on this server just as there were on live)

Higher cast time can mean win or lose in RVR situations based on the landing of the first spell.

What good is higher damage when you cast slower then the target about to CC you?

Higher dex > all.

Lurikeen. End of debate.

I think you mean higher dex is faster cast speed.
Sometimes more dmg is better, depending on who you are playing with.
Personally if I was going to play solo light eld or debuff chanter then I'd go for the higher dex. I'd maybe consider elf if I was playing a second eld but mostly i'd choose luri for their size.

I'd say for an utility caster, the extra dex is more worth, on anything that wants to shine in damage numbers aka. dps is imho. better off with Int. Especially since with full dex bonus from lvl50, items, base dex, quick/dex you probably will also hit the 350 dex cap with an Elf eventually anyway.

But the best answer is: Pick the race you prefer from the visual, since well... these 10 ints will not make the difference between win and lose. :D

I just give the solution, its a trivial task to show it and I leave that for you
There was nothing like that on Uth 1.0, breaking points were found with ToA, why should they implement those on Uth 2.0 8)
