Anyone able to post a link to somehow an updated version of the game? i dont have an update.bat icon in my folders, and i am currently running version 1.81 with the latest news (mainpage) i need to update...anyone able to help a fellow Uthgard?

Do you see a file named update in your DAoC directory? If yes, then you didn't enable file extensions in your Windows Explorer. To do so navigate to Tools > Folder Options > View > Advanced Settings > Files and Folders to see if Hide extensions for known file types is checked. If it is, clear this box.

If there still is no update.dat you can easily create it yourself. Open an editor (such as Notepad) and copy the code lines from the News into this file. (Note: Remember to follow the instructions on changing the path if you don't use LotM add-on. Also, make sure there are no spaces at the end of the lines! Otherwise, the update won't work.) Save as update.dat and run camelot.exe.

Alternatively, double-clicking on camelot.exe should start the update process anyway. Make sure you have selected the Do complete file-check option. When the update is done your version either is 1.87 (when you installed a European version) or 1.89 (when you are running an US client). Both versions are good to continue playing.

Finally, if none of the steps above are successful there's always the option to download DAoC from the official sites: Europe and US...

1.89 is NOT recommended to play on Uthgard, as it's still buggy and does not work well with DOL

I can only speak for myself...but I have yet to see the first problem with 1.89 - until now it's been just fine! I guess everyone has to try for themselves, though. (Don't forget that if it doesn't work it's easily reverted back to 1.87 by updating from European server.)

PS: There's a minor issue with my custom UI (Ghost) which doesn't display the UI's options panel for new characters resulting e.g. in a missing XP bar. However, while waiting for the author's update I found a workaround in copying an older character's layout.

When i run Camelot.exe and do a complete file check, at the end it will tell me that a large number of key files are missing (what the ******!?) and need to re-install DAoC. umm soo im downloading DR and hoping ill get those "key files" the error was talkin bout...btw i installed DAoC by slipping in my catacombs cd's..not sure if that makes a diff or not.

All right, im ganna need some one to help me out, i cant take it anymore...must play DAoC... i re-installed catacombs and its still giving me this msg every time i try to update..is there some way for someone to send me the files via instant msger or email? or is there a link someone could post to download a retail to 1.86 .zip? please im begging you, im on my hands and knee's.

Which files are you missing? List em here and i'll try to upload them for you (i can offer those of Trials of Atlantis or Labyrinth of the Minotaur Client)

Its not telling me...i have no clue, atm im downloading catacombs from Chronicles of Camelot...hoping those work

**update** Nope it didnt work, i installed/updated and at the end its still telling me i dont have the files...im bout to kill somthing.

Im even woundering if it would be possable for someone to send me thie whole Mythic folder so i basicly get a copied version..better yet WORKING version of camelot
