i'm looking for some help and maybe i can place all helpful links here and update my starting post for other people who seek for some starting insight.

so are there any useful links, like quest locations, maps or starting-/ level guides in particular who will work for uthgard? i think this could be a huge help if someone is starting fresh and dont know where to go, or what to do here.

thanks in advance. :)

GUIDANCE FOR BEGINNERS - MIDGARD
................................................................................................

Allakhazam - mostly easy to use and will help you find the informations what you are looking for:
http://camelot.allakhazam.com/

Atlas - many helpful basic informations, like mob spawns and quest npcs gathered into one pdf file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ovmej5hpt67mkdj/Dark%20Age%20of%20Camelot%20the%20Atlas%20-%20Prima.pdf?dl=0

Uthgard Blogspot - for getting an idea of each class, but maybe a bit outdate(dunno):
http://uthgard.blogspot.de/p/midgard-class-guide.html

Uthgardpedia - you will find many informartions here, but there is also missing a lot - still worth a look(german):
http://wiki.templer-gilde.de/de/index.php?title=Midgard-Portal

Quick Guide if you start at Gotar/ Fort Atla - Level 1-5:
    - just do some KILL TASKS given by the named guardian near the binding stone(whisper to him "/whisper task")
    - you also can do the little QUESTS here, like AMORA'S AID(lvl 1) from your trainer and MAGNILD’S CURE (lvl 2) from Amora
    - or just roam around fort atla and GRIND some mobs - there are plenty and some give some neat camp bonus like the pigs on their farm

I believe maps will be in the server now. But for basic information I think the atlas can help with different mob spawns.

for lvl 50 templates I am not too sure about midgard but I know on albion it was doable with just epic jewelry + df jewelry. Mid will probably be easier with the combination of other easy jewelry drops such as band of ice etc. I see lots of people making crazy hard templates that arent needed. can easily cap your gear with easy ******

the only thing to keep in mind is that some of the information in the document is wrong in regards to loot tables and % drop rates. I did a quick skim to see if the spawn locations are correct and it seems close. try and log on a 50skald and run around a bit as well and tell me too

A very detailed link for Albion players (beginners or not)

Map; spawns, level range etc (even type of the mobs for the minstrels charms)

Nah, only Alb, it was an Alb guild who did that. Especially a player named Thepp.

http://thepp.be/DAOC/Cartes/

Can't see any hib or mid maps unfortunately.
The alb one is still cool to have though.

Edit :
Got some other links (more advanced and in french language but the page can be translated by chrome i guess)
http://la.horde.sauvage.free.fr/pages/s ... tances.htm
http://la.horde.sauvage.free.fr/pages/s ... tiques.htm
Also tons of hibs info if you search true the whole website.
I admit i didn't even notice we was on Mid part of the forum, got there with "view new posts" feature
