OK so trying to level as a savage completely sucks. I honestly dont know hows theres Savages already 40+. I managed to get to level 8 somehow but now my exp has pretty much stopped moving. My weapons are awful and I cant even solo a Blue without having to sit and regen health/end. I cant afford horse tickets anywhere else so Im stuck in ft Alta nor the payment to a Healer to restore my Con cause I couldnt kill a freaking Blue before it killed me. Even though I will probably hate it, should I just roll a Healer or a Shaman so I can get easy groups and not worry about dying to blues because I still have empty gear slots?

DAoC is not a solo friendly game. Can it be done? Sure. Painfully and with tremendous patience.

You're better off finding a group as soon as possible, maybe in your situation one that has a couple of damage classes already in it until you have better weaponry.

Some people in your starter guild or in another guild you later join may help you with the weapons situation, if you're lucky. If I were you, I'd also consider a more "traditional" weapon line for savage--the game was out before the savage class was introduced, so there aren't as many hand-to-hand drops and quest choices in the game when compared to the more traditional hammer, sword, or axe.

Do tasks, find guard NPC in zone what fits your lvl and /whisper task. Do task, return back to NPC=profit+XP-
You can do *yourlvl amount of tasks per level.

switched to Healer, problem solved.

I forgot, you can do tasks up to 20lvl
