Need some advice on BD Spec for lv 40+ currently and mainly solo all the time but right now am full BA (lv 39) Looking for a great spec at level 40... I was thinking 18 Supp rest BA but mmm idk i kind of want to just send pet and not do much lol did enough from 5-39.... and i also want to do DF/Spind, etc soo what is it, whats the leet spec? I would really like to PvE (for farm) AND RvR . . . and I know Supp is dominate for RvR but with no respecs after 40 I have to make a decision now.... Is it either one spec or the other is that how this works??
PS: I know I should post on the BD forum but I doubt many check it... Currently: 700 Tailor and all tradeskills with it for salvage |

BA would be good all the way for pve, just because the dmg add melts mobs. However, if you wanted to take bigger badder mobs.. I'd look into supp since heal pets are the bees knees. It's a combination of letting your commander get aggro and raising your heal pets as they die. Eventually your main pet will gain super aggro and you'll just have to sit back and relax, let your heal pets do all the work..

Thanks! And the only way to get a respec stone is through dragon correct?

- Healer pets (supp line) take a good amount of the mob xp away from you. -Be warned-
- BoneArmy spec sending pets in and watching them melt the mobs works up to a point.. where you hunt yellow and lower con mobs to YOU (since your pets are BLUE and GREEN to you, they would see the enemy RED and PURP, greatly reducing their chance to land a hit) - Mixing the two specs COULD prove interesting, adding the two positive sides of each spec. But that leaves the problem of healers eating the xp you'd get. Means you have to be active and dispose the enemy quickly (how? with your dots) before your healers will halve your xp income. - PVE-wise, once you don't need to levelup anymore, mixed spec works good for nearly nonstop farming of reasonable monsters (blue, yellow, oj), while pure supp lets you tank the higher level mobs but with great downtimes (and repair costs) - RVR-wise you answered yourself. Darkness spec might be interesting, but i think that it started to really shine when -on live - they introduced the casting commander. Having a melee commander with caster subpets is cutting out the ranged advantage, and of course, once the commander dies, the casters go byebye. Respec stones sources should be available from Dragon, Legion and Summoner's Hall. |
