DF gear is vastly overrated as well as the exp plus you get no rps for taking them back. We're outnumbered heavily on Hib, stop going out to frontier zones and donating rps to enemies making it harder for yourself down the line and just focus on the grind. Get 50, get crafters, get geared and get revenge... I personally don't commit to RvR until all those requirements are met.

When Mid had 100% of the keeps they got a 14% bonus to RPs and Bonus points plus some OK resists.
