Way too many necros on albion. 130+ everytime I check US primetime.

Contribute nothing, steal spawns/camps, don't group, horrible in RVR.

no, you don't want paladin's in your groups cuz you suck.

isnt the mez timer effected by resistances?
doesnt the paladin have not 1 but 2 resistance chants that stack to combat this?
so what is wrong with a non-stupid paladin to run these chants for the predicted enemy?

how much time is mitigated?


The problem with your realm isnt the classes, its yalls inability to troubleshoot (fix your problems)

When someone dictate to others what they should play in order to become acceptable from the rest, then yes, that's poisoning.
"What we need" threads, guides etc, doesn't represent what the realm needs, its what YOU and your likes want to see and therefore it represents YOUR opinion on the matter.

As far as Intercept question goes, you are really tempting me to troll, but I will resist the urge and elaborate.
1) Non Det tank gets rooted.
2) Any friendly char that is getting trained or getting damage, can go near the Non Det tank.
3) Non Det tank uses Intercept on that char and root brakes when receive damage.

Is Intercept placebo for everything? No
Can work around obstacles like root? Yes
Is there a counter action for every hostile action? Yes

Just my2cents

I played a scout back before SI and up to TOA

horrible horrible horrible class to level. had to BEG to be let into groups.

absolutely fun as hell in RvR though. Total freedom to play however i wanted.

If you can't see the general tone of your "What we need more (and less)" post then I can't help you.
Quoting here and there phrases ain't gonna make you understand it either.
Also what we are doing here is actually a discussion, unless you are not used to it or you can't understand it.
In discussions, people express opinions and try to validate them into sound arguments, interacting with one another.
Discussions are not just "yes yes I agree", there's also contradiction.

Yet again you dismiss something, simply because you haven't tried it.
Root has been, is and will be treated half of the times with Intercept when there's communication and team work between group members.

Thank you for this, because it is very valuable.

Unlike some newer MMOs, DAoC does have classes that simply perform no function, have no role, and/or provide neither fun nor value at the end of several weeks of leveling. It certainly helps to know what those are beforehand. Those that claim otherwise are trolls, be it internet or Midgard.

Also, unlike a live MMO, Uthgard will be remaining at a certain patch level. Playing what you like because the class could change in the future simply does not exist. This IS the game as it will be.



If you are unsure, Do not make a yellow or red class. If you really want to do so, know that you are choosing to be worse at everything than someone else, or at best, filling a very small niche that could easily go unfilled without concern.

Having a minstrel in your group at 50 is awesome. Playing a minstrel sucks beyond compare. They should be a yellow class.

Paladins are great for PVE... nearly impossible to group without them at later levels. Playing one in RVR is about standing around doing nothing... and rezzing the dead useful classes if your side wins. Let that sink in, by the way. You are so impotent that the other side does not bother to kill you until they completely run out of all other targets.

The general tone is that you either agree with the "play what you want" mentality or you are an evil elitist.
There is no middle ground.
And this is the reason this realm sucks in RVR, everyone's special, nobody feels the need to be usefull.

Also, did you notice how long is the "green section" compared to the other two? There's nothing "elitist" in this thread.

problem lies on teh colors people thnk that tehy are lover level mobs or higher level mbos being green red or yelow for best experience on rvr you need to pikc stady easy rp(green) or mediocre soso rvr(yelow) or hard and need patience rvr(red) look at them like these and everytihng will be solved

Funny because necros DO duo fantastic with lots of classes. Their power transfer ability is beyond useful.

I see necro + caster duos and groups fairly often.


Instead of shunning them out of jealousy we should probably let them know how needed they can be :)



And no, I do not have one. I just love it when they duo/group up!
