Can we get some more people to weigh in on this? There has only been 71 confirmations and 98 votes.

Is this something we are okay with not having? Everyone agrees the merchants were in at 1.65. Why has this not been a bigger issue?

it is a big issue. it's #3 confirmed on the tracker with loads of proof it was in 1.65. even during the major housing rework it was left out, even during the last two weeks of beta when they removed capital merchants they left em out. 4 days before launch there was a post saying "players will be able to craft in their homes on uthgard 2.0." The number of votes on the tracker keeps going up and it continues to be ignored.

anyways I'm almost done crafting 8 suits of armor and they're still not in. my armsman is currently missing 51 con from suiciding at the relic keep, and I love the 10 minute horse and run to restock mats. it's really been enhancing my experience.

What does that have to do with anything?

Most people not having a house is -not- an issue.
For you are free to decide if you want to open your house to everyone and let 'em use your crafting merchant and eventually the crafting tools too (crafting tools are anyway available in any zone's central market).
Of course, most of those houseowners would see it as sharing a hardly earned privilege, so they will keep their housedoors shut, but at least the theory would work.

Craft merchants as they exist in the cities are available in housing meanwhile.

There will be no easy access to high tier craft materials from safe areas. You have to enter rvr zones where these merchants are located. We know thats unpopular because it adds more challenge to leg crafting but thats intended.

Note: Features in housing (patch 1.63) will remain customized to our needs and classic gameplay thoughts.

This is blue's answer.

So finally some lower level merchants showed up on my hookpoints. I bought the first level one.

Now I love my new apprentice merchant but he seems to have left some of his gear at home.

He only has Cloth, Leather and thread?\

WTF is this? You can't even get this small part right?

Been shooting yourself in the foot for 11 years seems like you might wake up.
