They just are.

And this is saying a lot from a dude who has played healers in every other mmo, pvp or otherwise.

Shaman/Cleric in EQ.

Paladin/Druid WoW.

Bard LOTR.

Scholar/White mage ff14

I believe this comes from a lack of interaction that the class offers, everything is passive minus a few long CDs which once you press, are over.

Do you like having cool stuff, like mezzes, or nukes, or instant cast abilities other than heals? Well Smite is for YO..! No it's not, because it's awful and doesn't add much.

BoF, Long cool down.

Purge, Long cool down.

Instant heals, 5 minutes.

There is literally nothing to do on the class except buff bot, throw out a few heals, and then use your suboptimal stun which is only useful in a select handful of situations where you're not stepping on the toes of every other person who has access to a stun/cc.

The class is awful compared to the other two, which only saving grace is BoF when it comes to RR.

I dunno why I had to rant about it, but I did. I'm playing one right now for my family, and it's awful.

They don't have a lot of the fun tools the other healing classes have, what it comes down to is, do you enjoy healing? If so, cleric gives you all the tools you need to do the job effectively. Though a bit dull at times, agreed.

That's the main strength of Albion. This realm can heal more since cleric are using their mana only to heal ! Amazing ! No ?

As a sorc I'd take a cleric any day as a powerful duo!

but like u said BoF is one of the most powerful RAs out there, and some ppl like having that sort of really powerful ability available. that's one thing I like about OF is the RAs felt more game changing instead of being watered down and shared by every realm.

I agree with you on this one.
But there are some Classes that are under evaluated and / or have very long CD on their specific RAs (some times these long CDs are needles tho).
Of course this is OF and you don't have instant action, so there's a reason behind the CDs.

The 3 healing classes in this game are awesome.

They are not made to be able to function without group, and that is something not many non daoc players can cope with.

Played all 3 and Cleric is not a bad class at all

I would agree with clerics being boring, I played one on live. That's a lot of the reason many (myself included for a time) went smite just to do something else other than playing glorified online whack-a-mole.
