I am kind of a noob, trying to level fletching. Right now it is 567 and I can no longer gain skills from arrows. It took me whole 10 minutes to gain 1 skill point from crafting some yellow bow. 50% times it is a fail and half of the time when it succeeds I don't get a skill reward. I could not find any guides pointing out which specific items are the optimal way to go. Someone please tell me there is a quicker way than this, I cannot imagine myself grinding up to 1000 like this.

Highest shortbow I can craft cons green and I have to craft it numerous times to get a skill point. Even though it is crafted faster than the other yellow bow, it does not save your time because the amount of times you have to repeat it is also higher.

I am considering simply quitting fletching because this is not working. I don't have that kind of patience.

unless you have a reason to go past arrows, why are you bothering?

Staves and bows, that's all you got. You will have to craft heavy recurve bows and staffs that take 30+ wood pieces per item, there's no way around it. Fletching is up there in cost 550+. Would recommend switching to tailoring if ur intent was just to salvage. if LGM fletcher is the goal tho... good luck.
