I salvaged my minstrel and my nightshades Epic armor before 1,65 Times to fund my SC templates at the time.

But on Uthg 2,0 we cannot salvage epic armors OR any quest rewards for that matter.

Do I remember it all wrong or should we not be able to salvage all loot EXCEPT quest progression items?

Has this been discussed previously?

I think cannot be salvaged the items that cannot be dropped, traded or sold

I think your right, BUT epic armor was traceable in the old days. I used epic armor on my low toons from guild friends to exp with for example.

Remb on my paladin I bought an epic armor at lvl 40 to use as PvE suit. This was pre ToA between 1.62-1.65 era.

if you are right you need to find proofs and post it in the issue tracker, if they implemented it this way is because they found information that worked this way

You could also salvage the epic armor back then. Gave a nice amount of money. Most pieces became obsolete with SI + SC + Alchemy anyways.

Not easy to find anything super solid, which is not a surprise since it wasn't a controversial thing back then, you could salvage epic armor so no big discussions or mentions regarding it.

Thread from 2003 SI times, several people mention and discuss salvaging of epic armor, so it would seem like they could salvage it during this time period of the game( early Si ).

Warden TL report from 2002 stating that the salvage value of the warden epic armor is too low compared to other classes sets.

Back during this time on live one of my alts used epic armor from a buddy, and when my alt got to 50 was able to get my own set to return to him so he didn't get the damaged set back. They should be tradable.
