This game is about war. This isn't Gaheris. I personally dont gank greys but that's a personal choice. I will however hunt you in your frontiers until you turn grey to me. If you don't like that may I kindly point you to the other side of the realm gate.

There is no big difference in killing greys, greens or killing solo ppl with a full group - beside a equiment and rr difference. Fairness don't exists in this game - it may be bad or good, who knows. On the other side i hope the 8er groups don't flame when they get added in a fight or crushed by 2+ groups. War is war.

But DaoC is not focused on killing lowlevels. So maybe everyone should think about the sense to killing grey´s or green´s in the first month of Uthgard.
But play how you think its right...

sums it up.

15 years later this ridiculous complaint can still bring pages of replies.

When do the "respect the 1v1" threads start?

Just a suggestion.

I'll take your suggestion to the Council of Midgard. We will convene and respond within the fortnight.

If it's part of the game then morality becomes obsolete.

As sad and arguably counterproductive as it is for a bunch of level 50s to gank grey XP'ers, it's meant to be. Whether you're a level 50 Emerald Ridere or a level 1 Warder, the enemy is the enemy and you will be purged.

...what is this double xp bonus you speak of? Do you mean the 10-15% bonus for being near a keep?

Some of the best RvR-experiences for me was when a lvl 50 stealther tried to wipe our xp grp when he attacked our cleric during a pull. And we still managed to survive, killing the mobs and him. Being lvl 34 or 35.

While it is annoying to get bumrushed by a group of mids, I absolutely love when a single player comes to a full group of veteran daoc players and believe they struck gold. We have almost dinged RR2 by killing of noob mids and albs on our xp spot so please, keep them coming.

As someone who solo XPs a lot in the frontier zones and also gets ganked a lot by 50s and FGs, I really don't have any problem with enemy players killing greys and XPers. The only thing that really gets to me is the enemy players who seem to exclusively farm XPers. They seem to be mostly Albs and mostly stealthers. Burdella, Lunenoire, Mordouce, these people annoy the crap out of me, but that's okay, I'm going to kill them often when I hit 50, and also take special care to gank Alb XPers in return.
