Albions Clerics

It's not just the clerics, though. The sorcs are abysmal and the theurgists AFK 9-15 minutes at a time. I've leveled to 50 once already and I think I've grouped with probably 20 different sorcs that I can remember. 2 of which were actually any count. The typical sorc on alb will wait to cast mezz when mobs are on the group. And they'll stop, see if any resisted, and of course 3 or 4 out of 4 resist the first mezz, then they will wait a second or two, cast another mezz, and continue to stand there or even sit while half of the mobs remain unmezzed, then take a hit standing still or sitting. Then they will get the bright idea to quickcast and by this time your tanks are scrambling all over the place to control the mess of aggro, and eventually your sorc will land a mezz as you hit then whine about you breaking his mezz. Then you get the theurgists who are basically dead weight beyond casting their two buffs on people and all in all albion is overflowing with deadbeat morons. And they get aggressive if you, as a tank, tell someone you don't need the acuity buff. But if it was any other realm you'd get fed up and boot these idiots, but other realms don't have too many players like that. The general conditions in albion are just so horrendous that you eventually just have to laugh because if you get mad then you'd do nothing else here. It's such a relief to get a good sorc or cleric in your group who are active and proactive and play with a simple modicum of competence. The vast majority of Albionites are indescribably terrible players. It really does capture the year 1, classic feeling of DAoC. Sometimes I have that smash-in-the-face-realization that this game is 16 years old. |

Same says a friend of mine playing Midgard. Noobs are everywhere! Always loved Uthgard because the community is so small, you can literaly stop playing, if you gain a bad reputition. When I see someone making a mistake, I first tell em via pm (because some people feel attacked when criticized in public). Usually this ends nice and productive, rarely it doesn't, which results in an /ignore. I share my black list with others, those share them too, resulting in a nice blacklist for PvE/RvR. At the end, those people flame the forum because they don't find groups / guilds and the WHOLE REALM is ****** and unfriendly, while THEY are the reason, no one else! Conclusion: Act nice and you can play with nice people. Act like an egoist and you can play alone (or together with egoists). Help as much as you can, if someone is too stubborn / unfriendly, simply use /ignore. There are enough nice people to play with! Greetings |
