Hi guys,

As the title says, I am re-rolling to Mid tonight.
Some friends and I have started playing on release. We started together on Alb, but since 2 weeks, they have quitted UTH and pretty much left me behind on ALB (a realm that I joined, only because they wanted to play on ALB).

I am leaving behind a lvl 50, some lvl 40+, lgm sc and lgm tailor, just because I do not feel like playing on ALB alone.
Therefor, I will re-roll to Mid tonight, as Mid has been the realm I spent most of my time on on live daoc.

The plan is to level a SB as first (and probably only) character. It might be a bad choice to start out as a SB, but i just don't feel like spending time on a farm char, crafters, ... again.

I will be looking out for a guild that I can join, in order to achieve lvl 50 on my SB asap and to get to know some people on Mid.

As you all know, the first few levels are difficult.
My question is, is there anyone willing to help me out a lil on a set of armor/weaps, in order to get my leveling process going?
I am usually not begging for things like this, but I am just looking to achieve lvl 50 asap again, and start enjoying my time on Mid.

Any guild recruitment is welcome as well.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Pars

My advice is to find a way to trade gold on alb for gold here. Get a friend on alb or a highly respected individual you trust and give them stuff to hold and then broker some sort of a deal.

Uthgard, still the best server. Thanks, Devs.

Well, my last try on alb was to lvl an inf, and solo some there.
I used all my money to get him to 40, but I just wasn't feeling it..

My gold is almost depleted on Alb, it wouldn't take long to farm some again, but I am just too bored of Alb to go on with it.

On the other side, my realm-switch timer has ended today, so I currently do not have access to the Alb toons.

Mid isn't bad to 20 with the kill tasks. Vik is this guy in this little wagon he is awesome for kill tasks down the road from mularn. Then u screw around in dungeons find some groups, etc, and then gotar tower and the gna, it is not bad.

Lots of slash weak mobs.

If you want to get to 50 fast i guess you have to group.

Yeah, I will start out with the killtasks up to 20 probably, and see if I can already find groups in the meantime.
I hope finding groups won't be too hard, because, if i'm not mistaken, most mid groups are melee-based?

The hardest part will be obtaining a set of armor/weaps to get me going probably

Welcome to Mid!

I don't know if my guild is recruiting SB's at the moment. But like relv said, get your butt to mularn. exp around there until you get to Vik. Do his guard tasks. Then at about lvl 8 or 9 goto the border of gotar and myrkwood and kill spiders by the lake near cured tomb. They are abundant and neutral.

at 11 or 12 kill wisps and drakes just on the other side of the border to myrkwood from the gotar lake. There is a nice guard tower for protection if you need to retreat.

at 13 or 14, goto Gna and do the guard tasks by the warrior trainer. Grind on weeping willows.

At about this time people start grouping more. Once your 17, goto vendo caverns to find grps and the first camps in DF.

Good luck!

I think Midgard is far more welcoming of stealthers in exp grps than other realms. Since we are a mele realm and most grps have shamans or a cele healer, SBs are good dps as long as you have a tank holding agro. I never hesitate to grab an SB if I have chain already. Their dps is solid.

Happy to hear that they are more then welcome in groups. Will help a lot.

And thanks a lot for the exp locations, it will take a while to get used to Mid again after playing Alb for 3 months.
And DF? Oh yeah, mids actually have DF.. :D

Any other information is still welcome guys, as is some starter armor/weaps if anyone can miss em! <3

DF is heavily overcrowded, it doesnt worth much go there, your xp will be slowly, because not enough mobs.

Whats you guys' opinion on starting out as a SB as first (and only) char?
Will I struggle on getting geared etc? Some people warned me that I would never get geared on 50

Not any more difficult to get geared than any other non farm class in my opinion. I have played many stealthers as my first 50 and it all feels the same.

Is grouping a little harder? sure, but you can still get grps, you can still farm for seals, you can still salvage for money.

A lot of the time, I farmed on my SB more than I did on my 50 warrior. The Sb killed twice as fast, especially if I could perf it.
