So coming from Live and not in RvR yet... how do you run solo or small-man in frontier w/o buff-bots or supremacy pots? do i have to carry 6-8 individual yellow pots and drink one every 90s ?

Depends on your settings. For me its wasd. 8)

If you want buffs, play a char with buffs, get buffs from a char with buffs, use charges or drink single pots every 90s.

Most people just aren't buffed, or have minimal buffs. When everyone is like that, it's not a disadvantage. Buffs are a special thing, not a requirement.

As for smallmans: comp on uthgard is more important here than on live during 1.65 IMO. There's more tryhards here than I remember on live and most smallmans I run into have a speed, mez, + buff class with them. On live you had more freedom because of buffbots and more enemies playing gimp classes/comps, here you will usually get beaten by groups with buffs and perfect synergy- thanks to voice chat.

If you are gonna run solo without buffs you will likely need speed 5, stealth, or be really patient while sitting behind a tree.

Solo/small man is pretty much non existent on Uthgard right now. 90% of the time it's only 8mans.

Hopefully more people hit 50 and come out to play rather than just the elitist 8mans we have now.

ppl running the two spec buff pots and haste is pretty standard.

But yeah, unless you have speed 5 or slteath.. there is no solo or smallman grps atm.

Most everyone on Uth have played DAOC for years and years. They only do things that give them the best chances for success.
Won't see much experimenting or taking chances. Everyone is set in their ways of how they spec, how they compose a group.

Not to mention that most folks, especially here on the forums, will scoff at you if you even propose something out of the norm. In-game as well. The players have created this situation themselves.

In a 15 year old game (14 year old patch level), everything has been tried and tested to excess, there is little need for experimentation, only to find things on Uthgard that deviate from live.
