How badly are Druids needed in RvR? (Or what is?)

I mean we pug a hero all the time that has only played the game for 2 months, but he listens to what we say, and adjusts his gameplay accordingly. As well as he is proacive in voice chat and a pleasure to group with. There are many different roles in this game some wayyyy easier than others. That being said when a random druid is the first one up and not in the back after being told stay in the back and heal. That druid is just not listening as well as making bad decisions. Gotta agree with you there Bubbler, RvR is getting more and more closed off to pugs because of this mentality. The player base is made up of some hardcore guys that havent stopped playing, but there are also lots of players that are either new to the game or weren't that experienced in rvr from playing 15 years ago. Some players like Exde here are willing to give noobs a shot if they are responsive to criticism and able to learn, but so many more people have no patience for this. Like you said it's understandable and sad too because it is going to lead to a sharp decline in the overall population of the server. It's unfortunate the RvR groups are getting more and more cliquey and exclusive to outsiders.

I've noticed almost every single one of the serious RvR groups has been open to not only inviting randoms to pug, but also coaching on proper gameplay. I've also noticed that it goes right out the window quickly if someone argues or can not handle criticism without taking it personally.

Taking ourselves as an example, we suffer a severe lack of druids these days. Really, it is like some kind of curse.
So firstly, we pick up druids all the time, and secondly, this often proves difficult. So there doesn't seem to be a surplus of Druids. I can also second that most Hib grps seem pretty openminded to "randoms"; it is the people unable to take criticism and/or not willing to learn, that have a hard time. |

Bards who want to do RvR and dont mind switchign their instruments, thats what Hibernia needs most!

That. Today again in DL, 4 groups 7/8 looking for a bard. |

It sure is nice being spoilt for choice. That said, if you make a bad play or a couple of mistakes somewhere you become *that guy* that just won't get groups even if you're the only bard. I'm not saying this has happened to me because I'm sure most people I've pug'd with have been pretty happy. But when you play a class that is both needed as well as sparse then you become more sought after and highlighted when sh!t happens. I was really hoping for some 2x bard pugs when I hit 50 and templated. Just a pipe dream. ![]() My mind’s made up, don’t confuse me with facts.
You mustn't assume that your personal situation is a reflection of every other person that has logged in to Uthgard. |

Yea, the bard population, at least around NA prime time, is really hurting. Definitely need more of them compared to any other class at this point.

The funny thing is, there were tons of bards out there while levelling, I wonder what happened to them?

Not alot of people can actually deal with being responsible and leading groups and having to perform at the same time. You don't get a whole lot of chances to prove youre competent. |

I can see that someone making very basic mistakes would be a problem and if given *constructive* criticism to do better and they don't - well I can understand that they need to be ejected (perhaps still kindly?).
However, I'm not sure where this coaching and helpful information is. Its been more the case that people are treated like dirt if they don't behave like their usual set group druid/bard/whatever would have behaved. It's a tad unfair to expect a PUG to know how to play 100% like the group is used to... but to then get abusive - well thats a long way from helpful for anyone. Learn to work together, and grit your teeth if you need to, that guy you consider unworthy may become a useful addition with a little more investment. Even if it doesn't work out, be kind - it's really not that difficult! Lets keep our realm healthy and well populated! - Inqy/Spymistress/Sly -

NA time is also very hard. I have spend maybe 10 hours looking for a group in DL over the past 4 days, and found 2 that disbanded after 2 runs.
People get to 50, spend those 4 days in DL not grouped, then stop or reroll because pve is more fun that waiting. We are running in circle. Suggestion : create a tool where people can /lfg rvr their main while they play their reroll. i.e. a bard log and doesn't find a group (notice the joke here), he can log on his champion lvl 14 but still stay in the /lfg rvr bard 50 list accessible to everyone. Please ? |

People have made tools like that, like http://lfgchannel.com/? But it was never used and it appears that the admin has taken it offline due to that.

There are discord channels for that for every realm.
Not nice, but at least something. Accessibility to RvR is lacking a lot on Uthgard and sth should be done about it. |

Yea, I tried to get a group once over the weekend. Then logged off and played PlayerUnknown BG all weekend. Sad state of affairs. Can't get on when my guild is forming groups and once I can get on, sit in DL for awhile with no luck. Luckily I can get groups in PUBG without much fuss but that doesn't help Uthgard much.
