Shield/Sword Hero for now. Will respec to Shield/Large Weaponry later. Probably at 40. (I think that's one of the respec levels, don't remember)

i can't remember the day i started to level my last char...

but anyway solo is really boring. i think the best way to level is geting 2 friends with who you ll have regular group, a good group that would work well.

for the equipment i think just ask some high level for help and anybody would give you some gear or money that would be enough for begining.

(and if i remember well shield at the starting levels is useless)

Generally, yes, a group would be ideal. You have to know, though, not all of us have friends who play Dark Age of Camelot, let alone play a Free Shard. In-Game friends are hard to make as well, because not many people like to talk while leveling, so you don't really make enough of a connection with people to consider them a friend, let alone a leveling-mate. My experience with grouping is that it's not worth even trying to find a group until level 7-8. I find that up until those levels, it's easier to just level solo.

Not entirely true... Especially for a Keen Hero. It's true that you're not able to do everything you can at higher levels with a shield, but at the same time, it's also safer, in my opinion. Keeps me alive, and chaining. :)

Exactly my point. :)

isn't this post for your guild mates?

and you are only level 11... so why not do a reroll all together...?

and so you'll get your group. and when you are alone play your hero...

Guild-Mates? Nooo; for general Hibernia. My guild is the result of making a character. :-p It's the starter guild. That means not many people talk, let alone want to group.

My BM was 1-5 in 38mins doing the starterquests from Adridd mixed with some of the other quests in MM. Didn't even had to do the last quest (Beginning of War, the longest one) so I'm pretty pro-starterquests :P

It's true that grouping isn't very easy. Mostly I just try to /who people in my lvl range and just pm them. Occiasionally something comes out and most of the time groups are pretty rewarding. And more fun.

You must be really experienced with rolling new characters. Haha.

I do like groups... but I also like people who can understand what I'm saying. xD

BTW, just a note... I've never heard of a pierce bm,, any good?

Edit:
Fixed my color tags.

I really thought I had to solo much and I would have a hard time getting groups on alb side. But I have mostly just leveled in groups and it wasn't really that hard to get one either. Maybe I've just been lucky tho.

Pierce BM i would say is very nice to have In a RvR group Main reason:

Most support Classes for Alb and Mid wear Chain, and that type of armour is weak to Piercing. and every one knows the First Person you go for are the Caster/Healer/mezzer Alts then get the rest O.o

imo a Shield Lerk is great Back up alt for stun/block bot O.o :+)
but for a LW might be best to get either Celt or FB for the Damage out put
as you already stated :+)

But if you Picked a Lerk just becuase you realy like that race Looks then all good O.o (just make sure to get some Aug Str at higher RRs )

Interesting. Seems we don't have the same views on RvR fighting.
Generally; I'd choose one member to always go after the enemy groups healer, 2-3 tanks, with one as an master assist. MA would of course lead the other 2-3 fighters. Inside those 2-3 fighters you have a defensive assist, who although assisting the MA, keeps an eye on friendly healer, and casters, primarily defending them. Rest of group is assorted casters who have their own MA.
