So what it the best/most efficient strategy for dropping the hib dragon from those that have successfully ran or been on a raid?

Bring animists, holding caster dps until hit code is broken with shrooms (you will see shroom dmg animation cloud above drag). Then burn dragon with casters while it is in this condition.

-Shroom near the dragon in a tight circle so his breaths kill as little shrooms as possible.
-Spread players out so breaths don't kill multiple people at once.
-use warden/bard spirit resist buffs to reduce breath dmg.
-clear adds asap as they force shrooms to split targets and make it harder to break hit code on drag.
-clear the teleportation destinations outside layer before starting pull helps in the short term.
-animists use level 5 or 9 shrooms only and bring power pots.
-purge/group purge the tank group so you can heal whoever is tanking drag during dragon stun phases

We were surprised to see Coolranch Doritogon up in SH when we were there utilizing the bonus exp weekend. Figured that'd be farmed on spawn. I'd love to be a part of one kill if anyone facilitates or wants to organize in the Realm Discord.

Well that's the thing, everybody wants to be a part of it but no1 wants to lead (myself included). Dragon is there to be farmed if ur willing to go thru the motions of sitting in innis getting ppl together and then doing loot afterwards. Worth it for a chance to compete with 40+ other ppl over 2 items? Not really - no special i-win loot there as far as i know.

Isn't this the golden age of Majestic Will dragon farming? Other small group kills could be done using minsts (mentas here, though not sure about suitable pet availability) or a single group of arthritic-from-twisting paladins. Not sure what the hib equivalent of those small group DR's would be.

Well sadly, because of custom shroom cap, you cannot do it with 1 fg of animists.

Seems to be few skill respec stones available. I bet those have value...

The strategy used last night seems to be very efficient.

Blindly host a 10pm Dragon Raid only to show up at the dragon and notice he is not even up.

Hib Dragon hasn't spawned in almost 2 days now
