From leveling my bard 30-50 I never saw a light ment in a group. Just some soloing in TC or CM. Leveling spec is easy: Full mana to 44, after 40 put extra points into mentalism. If you want to farm keep defenses as a mana ment, you can go 46 mana/28 ment RVR spec: I haven't played a ment in over a decade, but suspect that the predominant spec is 45 Light, 28 Ment, 10 Mana |

The way this works is pretty much based on your game play style.
If you want to solo you are in for a hard road. You can make a ranger, warden, animist, enchanter, mentalist, eldritch. You can solo as a tank or hybrid melee class but its kinda a pain in the ass.. The other option of bard and druid pretty much have to be in a group. Unless you go combat spec and then its a kick in the face because no one will group you. I would suggest finding a guild to play with or a group of folks who play around your time zone. Once you have some folks to run around with pick a class you like.
