Best to run a command prompt and paste the results from:

tracert server.uthgard.net

And then run the application mentioned earlier in the thread. A location won't really help.

Always use WinMTR with 1000 packets to show problems. Hetzner support does not accept anything else.

For the last days, I've been experiencing frequent disconnections.
Don't know if there are steps to do at home before posting here. I'm solo on the connection, nobody on the wifi, phones are not downloading either. Only me and Uthgard :)

I ran WinMTR for over 15k packets. 98% data loss at the hop after ae6-1299.fra20.core-backbone.com, which I cant identify because all WinMTR tells me is its not responding. I sent the data to Blue via PM. I can get on for about 2 minutes then go link dead.

You get 96% packet loss at lag-59-100.iarmar4.isp.belgacom.be! Anything after that doesn't matter! Is Belgacom.be your ISP? Share this WINMRT with them and ask them to resolve your issue.

F*cking Belgacom... They first said Hetzner have to contact them... then because I refused, they told me a third party company can analyse the problem for 35€...
It's just incredible, what kind of service is this ! Still on the phone with them just to try to pass through their first line helpdesk (who obviously cannot solve this kind of issue...).

Coming here through a search on the forum.

Since the beginning of Uthgard 2 I've been experiencing odd delays between my character position and where the server thinks I am.

For instance, after walking/running, I always had to stand still for like 4 or 5 seconds before being able to sit or do anything that requires me to be not moving.
So far it's not really been an annoyance because i was mainly playing caster classes in pve (no delay issue for casting), but this is really game breaking for melee action, even more for pvp since positional styles can't be performed at all without observing that 5 seconds delay. Melee hit distance is also an issue in fine.

Also, I don't know if it's related but I often see people on horses... standing. But it's a detail and has no impact whatsoever.

I decided to look into it and ran winMTR for a couple hours this afternoon.

And here we go. There seems to be a node between my ISP (Free, in France. I'm in Marseille) and Level3 that returns a 99% loss.
After digging through various forums, I understand that Free doesn't give a toss about this kind of issue but I wonder if there is something that could be done from Hetzner side.

Hello Blue,

I am having LDs after 2-3 mins of play I am attaching an image with the report. 3.3K sent and losing around 8% of packages when arrive to hetzner GW.

this game has become unplayable I know it isnt my isp i play all other games fine no lag... why cant mods see that no offence i know your trying to maybe find the problem but something has changed .... even with low pop today im lagging on spells or movement!

bumping that post hoping to get attention.

Makes melee action difficult, especially in a pvp environment.


Not sure if you can do something about Level 3 nodes. It's getting worse lately.
Tried a couple vpn offers in the meantime but haven't found a satisfying one yet for my location

I must have gotten used to it, but I can confirm that with or without VPN/preferential routing software it'll take me 3-5 seconds to sit after I come to a stop.

Haven't really found a fix. Just figured it is the way it is. My ping to the server is usually 160-180 from US West and in most games the 160-180 ping won't have as long of a delay as it does here.

Not so much a complaint but an observation. I've learned to live with it.
