It's not acting like your client... Then again, I've seen weirder things... so worth a shot.

Hm it seems it is, its now freezing on the game loading screen (at the end), getting to the character screen and just displaing 'top text something'. 'bottom text something', then if my characters load, it and I press play, it freezes, if i get past there, it freezes on the loading screen. If I get into the game, I LD nearly instantly, if I get past that bit, I LD after 10 minutes. If I get past that bit, ill eat my own face.

If you were trying to re-patch, you'll have to uninstall / reinstall.

Might be safe to re-download the installers too, in-case they're corrupt.

Weird, the only way it wouldn't be on another system is if you copy-pasted from someone elses system (like I did, sorta, I backed it up, and never reinstalled.)

Try here >
C:\Mythic\
or
C:\Program Files\Mythic\
or
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mythic\
or
C:\Program Filse\Electronic Arts\Mythic\

Those are just some thoughts, I haven't actually installed since EA took control, so yeah.

Not in there =/

I did check files in the update thingy, though. I can play again now, and theres no lag. I dont know if its because of that. Ive been playing for 2-3 hours with no lag.

If it starts up again.....ill try a reinstall.

Do you think this is tied to the DAOC lag fest of mine?:

Xfire cuts out sometimes, and its laggy. Feels like the same lag as daoc.

Adaware cuts out sometimes when doing a full scan.

Msn and other stuff work fine.....

There is a known issue with onboard NICs. Try the following...

Start -> Systemmanager -> hardware -> Devices (or whatsoever - the thing
where all your devices are listed) -> Network Adapter -> choose the network
card and doubleclick it ...

go for the advanced flag and set "hardware checksumming" to OFF

Also, some of the NICs, you'll have to make sure Auto Poweroff is off.

Problem found

I used ping plotter (even though I could have done it on cmd) to trace/ping www.uthgard.the-bart.org

Our ISP is pipex, look at the 3rd router/server thingy. (I blocked out the first one, you dont need to know that ^^)

Image

Sometimes the packet loss is 0% (it dosent show) sometimes its 25, 50, 88, 100. This could explain why sometimes I feel no lag, then sometimes I lag alot, then sometimes I just LD.
