Well, first of. Perhaps bad planing. You should have agreed in what realm the event was going to take place. As soon its in Hibernia = its a relic raid = booring for everyone.

Yep, bad planning... of course.... But I don't see you stepping up to lead it. Instead of criticizing, lead one. You'll be happy to know we won't be leading another.

Some insight from the alb side as well...we formed an hour earlier, had our scouts in all the right places so intel was just fine...we knew very early what to expect...constantly 130 albs and some of them suggested a relic raid as well but that was not my intention today. We took the lead when we managed to sandwich the mid zerg and take out the hibs as well in the beginning and that was about it.

Then Holsten adapted very well so I knew this would only succeed once. After that it was mainly mids vs. albs and we were overrun by sheer numbers, a blue wall you might say,but no hibs to be seen whatsoever, which is a little disappointing for a hib event.

When being tired of losing to the mid zerg and server lags (wwe were not able to cast DDs or pets, even instants wouldn't work) I decided to take some mid keeps to open up DF for us at least. It took us by surprise then to see that the mids were going for the relic, so we decided to go there as well and found some hibs finally...

Thanks for lots of fun and amazing pictures from the battlefield!

Oh I don't blame you for hitting the relic, but I did think you'd take scath first :p

We had fun till it became heavily one sided. Can't blame you for playing to maximize success but without the albs hitting you also we really had no hope.

Second time that midis broke the agreement not to attack relics. Do you think albs and hibs will not remember that for the next event? Maybe next time albs and hibs will sit in relic keep instead of joining open field fights.

You outnumber hib and alb twice, from an tactical point of view it would be best not to do open field fights. Nevertheless, we do it for great fights. But if every event ends with midis have more relics, why should we do that anymore?

Actually, nevermind. You call for a zerg event that's what you get.

You put 200 mids in a realm and stop coming to fight them you lose a relic, especially after you've had them for weeks on end. Three of them, each realm. We didn't go for a relic until SOMEONE decided to move their BG to our frontier away from the fighting in Hib and just expected almost 200 mids to port back to defend a frontier with no relics at the time in it. Not our bad, not Holsten's bad. He quashed the Relic Raid idea many times before that.

Shed those tears though, now that we have one relic back I guess.

And lets be honest, in the same vein you all wait until you know there aren't mids on to defend to come take relics. Its not really any different. We just actually fought for it outnumbered or not. I'm sure you'll have the 3 - 3 - 0 balance you need/want to win fights back soon enough.

What were we supposed to do tho? You all started an hour before the event was set to start with 180 vs 90. By the time it started, you all were already almost to the relic. We couldn't open field fight.

Honestly, it didnt feel good to pick up the relic. As I explained earlier, Mid BG was just a little disappointed with how everyone left the party, we were still ready to rock on the dancefloor (94 mids in emain right now as I logged)

It is understandable how hibs and albs went somewhere else, because midgard had Amazing numbers tonight! But what were we supposed to do? Honestly. Disband the BG? go chase after enemies who clearly didnt want to fight us any more?

Im happy to take the blame for this relic capture after the event was pretty much over, we wanted to use it as a last attempt of stiring up action as I tried to explain earlier.

For future events may I suggest the rules to be more clear, how long after a "Blue sunday" are the relics not supposed to be attacked, can the start time and zone be announced on forhand and other things that has previously led to any side feeling cheated.

Last but not least, Thanks to the Hibs for this event. And to all 3 sides for showing up and hopefully having fun. Many torcs was passed tonight and we had to take turns leading the Blue Cloaks. (Holsten opening the BG and explaining/spaming. Sania driving and co-leading, and I called for pushes and had a good feeling for when Hibs and Albs would be back and reformed giving us some good 1v1 fights and not get caught in the middle too much)

Have a good night everyone

this is just what to call it. We started taking keeps at around 7 pm (no one told me when to start uhoh no x-realmers) just to kill time...
encountered some serious hib and alb zerg at around 9 pm. That was actually some fun fights, were we got sandwiched (ouuh no one could expect that :o ).
It was a fun event anyway, thx for that and the relic... that is probaply gone as I wake up

From alb side we endure too much lag to be joyfull, no cast possible, no style with melee.

The sandwich fight went well regarding hitting and casting but after from the fight we wiped near Crau all went wrong.

1. Thanks for organizing this Eithne, even though I wasn't actually present. Way to step up.
2. It's not fair to expect an event that's been run by Mids many times to be equally well run by Hibs the first time they run it. We did not coordinate with Mids to assess lessons learned, so we're learning our own way. Lala.
3. Can we just agree to coordinate in IRC in the future? We're allowed to speak generally ("We're in Emain"), but not specifically ("We're in Emain at the Thimble"), as far as I am aware.
