Well. I am Alb and I enjoyed the event. 1. I was surprised we were able to build such numerous army and fight competitively. 2. It was nice to see so many fighters online in each realm. And especially in rvr. 3. there were some very nice fights open field. First of all at silos amg and between amg and atk. the bad things - 1. Server performance during the defends and camps - at AMG. To evoid this we used rush-run avay taktik between amg-atk, seems to be it was the onlly possibilty to to fight in such numbers. As long mids accepted such kind of fights. 2. Against Hibs with plenty of shrooms it were unplyeble at all. It was very tricky in first contact to run around the huge shrooms field behind amg. Just lags! 3. Hibs gone very early. Yes , I can understand them, but it was a pitty for us. We tried to find them, but it was for us just waisted time. |

Thats a whole ****** lot of crying about numbers, comming from the realm(Alb) who usually outzergs everyone on a daily basic. You all know mids are the worst for banding up together normally, instead we are like Scotland in Braveheart everyone just care about his own clan and kilt colors And now we for once unite for this event where all the groups and guilds play for one evening for the realm and not their own fun. Just be thankful Midgard is not playing the Albion-way of everyone banding together with numbers. You blame the uneven numbers but maybe that comes down to the recruitment on you side. Holsten had the event spammed on every alliance msg of the day, several discord and 4 hours before start most channels was spammed. I didnt see albs bring more than the 150 you did for your own event, and where were the NA guilds? Midgard managed to bring out both sides of the pond(Tilt MVP for valuable intell). Ramiye ffs the victum role is getting old. With that being said I totally understand how it was no fun for albs with the lag/freeze/delay. Mids did have supperior numbers and due to the onedimensional playstyle of push-push-push sure both sides were affected by this lag and no abilities working, but I would argue albs got the worse end of the stick due to the nature of playstyles between the two realms. https://youtu.be/iKPUeyKbl9Q?t=5m48s I love this fight! And I think all three sides played it extremely well. Albs pushing out of their milegate where Mids gave them a standoff. Hib roll up in the bowl on the other side of Mids. I called for a push on the south wall, to push around the hib flank to get our own little corner in a triangle figh. Hibs saw our movement and pulled up to Silo-hill was a very smart move of them to get the highground. Meanwhile Albs had a grudge for mids, or the simple nature of the shroomfield made it an easy choise to just hit our tail and plow through. Good job on that fight to everyone, was so much fun and funnily enough no lag in the tri-zerg fight. <<Bombling>> - Supp SM Lvl 50 - RR 7L0

Those lags were terrible... Mids actually ran with alot of casters this time as far as i'Ve seen it and I barely got 2 casts out during some fights.
I guess the main problem was that Mids were alot more than the other realms. Ofc it gets boring for albs/hibs.. but when they run off to another zone, it's boring for the Mids aswell. Which is probably why we took the relic then. Idk what a solution would've been tbh. We can't run around asking people to leave just because we have more numbers. Usually this changes at NA time.. maybe if it would'Ve gone on longer the albs (and maybe hibs?) would've had more numbers and it would've been more fun for them? In the end, the one's with the most numbers win.. that's just how a zerg mainly works. I still don't understand what the other realms were hoping for when they went to our frontiers though? Keepfights? Anyways, we had a few fun fights. I would've liked to see a few - more even - fights though Khadafi: You guys are getting schooled by Liah

To the surprise of nobody, the idiots who rerolled to mid believe the action to be fine.

If we fight for relics on such events then tactics for next event will look like this:
- Never fight a bigger zerg on open field - Try to seperate the other zerg by raiding keeps with small, fast groups - Sit into relic keep if a bigger zerg is in your frontier I wish you much fun running throug empty frontiers, raiding empty keeps and facing a wall of mushrooms at relic keep for the next event. If that is what you wanted to reach by taking the relic, well executed. |

Lmao and the albs are crying about the injustice, this thread is hilarious can we sticky it? |

I am trying to get an overview of the complains so far, in the interest of how future events do not end up in a river of tears like this is turning out to be. Feel free to add any or correct:
- Better organized (timeframe, rules) - Lag - Uneven numbers - Relics - Old Grudges / Realm pride Solution suggestions: - A few weeks in advance the hosting realm of the event will present the Timeframe, Date and Zone for said Event. Example: Saturday 6th jan. Emain only. Fight over DC, milegates and portal keeps. Starting 19:30 GMT +1 officially goes on for 2hours or untill other realms pull out. Since zergnights usually end up with a winning side maintaining numbers after their victory or theres a shift in numbers due to timezone changes, no relic attacks must be made untill 6hours after initial start of the event. - Lag. We cant do anything about that. Should a Realm end up heavily outnumbering the other sides it would be nice if they try to split up their zerg, but it cant be expected! - Uneven numbers. If you get outnumbered its too bad. You had the same time as the others to gather your troops. Sorry but you need to sound the warhorn and call to arms. - Whatever ruleset is made, make sure the representing zergleaders agree towards eachother to honor this agreement and bring up a timeframe for how long the relics are not to be touched afterwards. (I sent splitquick a discord msg on thursday regarding this, and didnt get any reply btw.) - Old Grudges and realmpride. Bring it all. Get your sweet revenge and settle your scored. But just remember tag-teaming on one realm might stop them from porting back and you cant farm them any more. Fight for your realms with all you got, and use the situations in your advantage. But lets be somewhat respectful if the general interest is for everyone to have fun (losing is never fun) <<Bombling>> - Supp SM Lvl 50 - RR 7L0

We (Hibs) had a great turnout for our population. I think when I was on our BG peaked in the 120's of mostly high level. But we were fighting zergs much larger.
For realm points, it was pretty dismal... much, much lower than just a normal few hours out. I don't think I will make any special effort to do the next event unless I happen to be on anyway. Thanks everyone for trying and organizing it. It wasn't the fault of the organizers; the root cause is the realm population imbalance. We do very well in normal times, but if there is an event based on shear numbers we will lose. |

Well from Hib site there was also a lack of advertisment. Not sure if it was announced in other alliances, but I did not see any spam in Ligen the days before that there will be an event hosted by hibs.
If you want to bring numbers, it is not enough to just spam in broad in Ligen one hour before the event. |
|
Perhaps you should take into account that our population is so small that basically every player is in the same alliance. Why spam DL if you can advertise in /as. Satiah | Tuthmes | Dendera | Khufu | Nefertete | Dahshur | Nebetah | Neterbaiu

I love my close-up at 8:42 and what looks like my Grover Executioner helping to kill that troll. Too bad that is the only part of the battle that went well... I was dead a few minutes later. |

in the end, all decisions and choices made when leading a raid so dynamic as this one and others. All decisions look either like good ones or bad in hindsight. Such as the choice to head to mid to pull some of the zerg to the mid frontier. was a calculated risk, to try to keep the bg together due to the frustration of numbers and lag. more the lag than anything. It could have paid off well, but it did not.
But in the end, most had fun. I know raid leaders took some heat. But least they stepped up to try to get a server-wide realm fun going for all. for the casuals, timid and hardcore players. Is good to see the other realm players enjoyed the event as well. Maybe something that needs to happen a little bit more often, to keep interest in the game. And shows players drive the server more than game masters do. Hello
and thank you for this awesome event I wasn't lucky on groups yesterday, so I missed most of the fun, but it's always nice to see players stepping up and leading this. Especially if it's for the first time, good job! I'm also impressed to read how much effort midgard puts into announcing such events. Maybe we can learn from that for future hib events. Today i talked to several people in hibernia about it and half of them were like: "What event?". Looking forward to the next ones. Best wishes, Zaya |

Event was good and fun, untill the lag problems started. I was on Team Red, and it was impossible to cast. Albs brought almost no AoE damage, and or little melee. And single target casts suck when lag is high.
I don't care about who took relics and why, the event (2-3 hours) went about with almost nothing but open field, which was the point. To the albs/hibs who cry about numbers... That is the way things are. Be proud you came out and fought, and hope you got some realm points in the process. And make more AoE toons, because aoe is king in these events. To the mids... not sure what to say. You play the realm that has been strongest from launch, some of you posting here even switched either to mid from alb/hib, or has never played the other side. Some like Holsten are classy and just focus on what they did to gather strength, and don't try to preach on what the other realms do wrong and what they should do etc etc. But please stop pointing fingers at albs for zerging when some groups often run no cleric or 1 cleric. I badly want to play my theurgist, but when I log on our guild rarely has any other cleric. So I end up playing my lvl 47 cleric often alone, sometimes when lucky we have another cleric. The realms are not balanced, and neither is the active RvR population. Look at rps total for the realms, and look at weekly. Albs and hibs are roughly even, but one realm sticks out, and that can't all be amazing leadership doing this. When you play the strongest realm, you don't get the luxury of pointing fingers, and certainly not when you switched to it from a weak realm. Albion and having fun
