ofc i try sometimes to restealth and get away but thats not always possible

doesn't uthgard have the custom change that pets stop chasing stealthed players ? should b quite easy to win vs hunter as a scout then

no pets will follow you until the owner dies, you die, or you get far enough away to get the 20 second log timer!

Nope, they will follow you to the ends of the earth, stealthed or not. I have had pets come for me 5 minutes after a fight because I was still on their hate list somehow.

as one of the higher RR scouts on the server (which isn't saying much) I can attest that hunters are all but impossible to fight.

it was a bit easier when I was melee spec with IP but id still lose 100% of the time

what I try to do is slam both hunter and pet, get off a side snare on the pet and run.. but if purge is up I'm dead.. or if purge is down the pet still chases me down, so while running you have 2 options.
A) keep running and hope the hunter drops pet chase (unlikely)
B) turn and try to get off a rapid shot on the hunter and fight in melee afterwards.. but your shot is rupted so you end up in a melee fight

entering a melee fight as a scout vs ANYONE is a death sentence (even with 39 thrust or 50 shield spec)

theres one hunter (i think everyone knows who) whos always somehow right on top of me after I get a snipe kill at svasud, he must camp there waiting for the 1 scout who tries to get RP in that spot

There is a third option. Bring weapon swaps with disease on them. You can burn the purge, swap to a diseased weapon, and then try to sprint away and make distance. Pets don't get stun immunity. It's a pain in the ass, but it'll be super helpful. Just need an infi friend to give you the weapon swaps so you can stand a chance.

What QQ topic.

Have played scout for more that 10 years on live and as far as i know the only way to beat a hunter was the period when the pet had a bug. Two skilled players in fight scout loose % of the time. Scout wins ONLY if the hunter have no idee how to play. The cases of DD and others is available on a new player or a noob hunter. Skilled one will wipe the floor with scouts. But i still play scout and enjoy it.Game will never be 100% balanced so i try to avoid them when i can or use everything you have in fight.

Without back paddling scout is no fun class, give us live like clients please ^^
