Not me

a wipe doesn't change anything. The people with the most time will always be higher.

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

Re: wipe

I dunno...there are always going to be those people that meta and do things perfectly..perfect group, perfect gear, perfect amount of time to level/RvR, know all the perfect spots and tricks.

They are the 1% that will hit 50 1st and be the highest realm rank. I personally like later Uth2 more than early on when there were a handful (albeit lower RR) 50s running around killing everyone taking every keep, dominating DF. I have no fear of RR7+ groups when I was RR4. Sure the odds were against us but just don't 8 v 8..16 v 8 or something to even the odds.

On a personal note, I don't think these "1%ers" should be taken into account much. So what if a tiny group of people can hit 50 with 2 days played ? If it is taking too long for the bigger part of the bell curve, that is a problem. Make things enjoyable for the most people and don't worry if it is a bit too easy for the 1%. I know it is not a simple equation to get right...but it can be gotten right.

I think a wipe would be the worst idea..there are still plenty of players with plenty of uth2 toons. More would be apt to come back and play those and level alts than to start from scratch IMO.

Hope not too off topic...

As I guy with 20+ toons between 20 and 35 I admit I dread getting to 50 and facing pre mades with RR10s. So a wipe is a nice idea. With QOL after a wipe at least with BGs and QOL xp they would be RR4 when I make it to RvR pugging hehe. Might last a few times out there!

Yet as soon as I say that the thought of leveling 20 toons again hits. So their thoughts of losing 50s must hit them.

Hard to say what to do to get to the masses that are still playing right this minute. I can't get into leveling in a beta that will be wiped. They still have some stability problems. The broadstripe answer was a joke with their limitations. Uth has proven for many many years they are stable.

So it still comes down to how best capture the 1000 that are still playing on free shards. I do not get this anger at the Devs here. As a non Uth1 player I always knew I was playing on their 1.65 project. They have done a lot of work. in the end in a couple months we will have two dead servers. One wiped and Uth 2 with low pop. Won't it then be simply an open choice on which to play on? Which has the most features I feel I need to make it to having a few 50s to fill spots.

To me, In the end Uth has some time to try ideas. I am happy that they are jumping back into the population fight!! We know what they are capable of.

From my point of view finally the long waited needed step in the right direction, it ´s a pitty they decided to do so as the server is nearly dead. I dunno if it isn ´t already too late to save Uth, but time will tell.

A well timed Shrouded Isles release might push the population to healthy numbers again, combined with new fixes and features.

One shard opened beta, the other is recruiting players and Uth is closing the gaps between staff and community. It seems the battle of the 3 shards has begun.

edit: Pretty sure the majority of the players would not forgive a second wipe in that short duration of time.

Thanks for the effort!
And I don't think it'll really be to late. It'll take some time until the [Voldemort Server - I like that Name  ] will be anywhere near a worthy launch. I mean: many of us been on its ancestor and the mechanics, bugs etc. were the reasons also many of us switched to Uthgard because it's simply more trustworthy.
Ofcourse many things went wrong on Uthgard, but really: Kudos for a pretty huge step in the right direction!
Aspects such as: News from Blue himself; openness about mistakes, information about a new direction / culture (also communication-wise), immediate changes ... All together, I like it!

tbh with old ras its not such a big deal.
Hope GMs are fine with what they have stated, that they are fine with just 80 people (300ppl was Trishin Statement long time ago) playing the game under their vision.
Its important to leave this server running doesn't matter how low the numbers will be. The other servers can fail but Uthgard still will be there, thats Uthgards only chance.

Edit 19/09/21: Well Uthgards chance has come.

Oh, you're leaving? Wait, everyone's leaving? Oh, we care! Wait, we care! We thought you liked it here! Yeah, those complaints--we thought those were just in jest!--We didn't think you were serious! Come come, let's not take it personal. Come back!

Again, it was stated multiple times that "we do not care about population numbers, we care to serve a specific niche of player". This post makes it clear that was a lie, and that you did care about numbers, but you cared more about your population count than your player's concerns and would have preferred people play your server unhappily such that the minority can play with people. It doesn't sit right, at all.

This a thousand times. They pretty much ignore what everyone says for 2 years, then as soon as the competition demolishes their server, they throw out a few scraps. It's too little too late. But most of all, it's not genuine.

Without a charwipe and a fresh start, these changes don't mean anything. It's as simple as that.

Why would you throw everyone back into start position? I don't think many are eager to level up once again.

Thanks for those changes, maybe we will see more solo player arround now.

I got a question about the horse routes, i just went to Uppland to check for some enemies and so far two mids passed me on a horse.
I was not able to attack them/get them off the horse, is this intended? If so, there is no point to travel to Uppland anymore. :(

I don't think RP events are ever a good idea.

The vets out there now get more rps. When the event is over, the gap between a new player and the vets is even larger.

Just saying that in the future, if there ever was a wipe, RP events are bad.

Right now, RP events are still bad.

That is my opinion before someone attacks me with flaming swords or whatever is coming next.

BGs on the other hand, preferreably from lvl 1 all the way to lvl 44 is where it is at.

The last BG should be the frontier. But it needs to be faster and more BG like. It is too big, particularly with low pop.

If you must do a rp bonus event, put it in a small area. The help speed people to that area.

Put in Lion's Den. Make Demon's breach an all levels event. Theres a lot of fun stuff u can do.

Players can greatly contribute to a server if you let them.

Uthgard, still the best server. Thanks, Devs.

I am happy about somthing moves. Best Server ever for me was the ARS Server Salisbury. Without va few Noneedclasses like Winpyr or Rasses like Ox´s i would play/pay this forever. I dont need other Games.

Thank you.

a Wish: Make the "lighttanks" playable and needed in RvR. They are not Casters and no Melees. Important RA´s are very expensive or not available.
