Those who currently have all the power In Midgard use Machiavelli's book "The Prince" along with Orwell's "1984", Huxley's "Brave New World" and Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" as guide books. I myself command atleast 50% of the Midgard forces with an iron fist and our only concern right now is keeping the salt mines open. Your tears are delicious.

i dont really see how my lvling is in any way connected to rvr. please, do us a favor and grow up a little. just a little. edit: sorry everyone for giving this little man so much attention. cleanup would be appreciated so we can continue discussing ontopic. |

Alright, I take back my previous statement, you seem to be a very experienced player and actually you're helping your realm. You should definately apply for the player council, you look like a solid rvr focused person and your input will surely help Romu and Gil turn Uthgard into the best freeshard I have ever seen. You know, acting like a dick to people who are genuinely trying is one of the reasons why our Uthgard community will continue to shrink instead of grow. Maybe instead of using sarcasm on the forums, you could do something beneficial in game, and then maybe there would be more inc for people to practice on. |

My friend, this is a game, and it's designed this way. Why should we change our way of playing? Only because you'll whine all day here on the forum on how much this game is unbalanced? Well this is only your opinion. The suggestion you're giving will ruin the server not our attitude because this server is not supposed to smell of roses but of blood and poison. Rome has survived 1.000 years but at the end collapsed to barbarians. |

Well it is true things are skewed toward Mid in terms of patch level, RVR population, and RR...
However the 3 realm formula is supposed to help mitigate such a situation. If populations pick up enough that a proper zerg can be put together... and Alb and Hib would just start cross realming with a grand alliance to only attack the "click/stick/click" realm, things could turn around. |

I don't want roses - I want an active server to play on. I'm not telling anyone how to play, I'm not allowed to do that. However this thread is pointing out how you are playing and the effects it is having. It is of course an utter waste of time as you don't get it.

 anyway....why do mids still think we try to talk em outta their playstyle? you can play however the hell you want. and to be completely honest...if i had any connection to midgard as a realm whatsoever id just play either the easiest and most fun class (aka skald.) or the most overpowered and fun class (aka shaman) and laugh at my puny enemies crumbling before me like you do right now. but thats not the point! the point is, that its gotten so far out of hand, that theres simply almost no contest anymore. albs and hibs (albs in particular, i feel. but thats subjective i guess) get massacred. and i completely agree that patchlevel, level of difficulty(of gameplay and building proper groups) and RR gap arent the only factors here. its lack of motivation. why even go out against a force you have almost zero chance of even giving them a good fight? (and by good fight i dont mean ez arpees.) exactly. there is none. thats why the devs and the community have to work together to make non-midgard attractive again. i myself try doing my part by supporting lows and just....going out. with whatever gimped setup it might be. i gotta admit tho, its not very appealing at the moment. |

You're more than welcome to continue your way of playing. I don't think anyone is claiming that you MUST change. But, simply put, every decision has consequences. And the consequence of Midgard continually dominating is the loss of players on the server and the loss of action in RvR. You don't need to change anything if you're happy the way it is and with the direction things are heading. The server is dying, and if Midgard players would rather win an unfair fight for a short while longer instead of making a conscious decision to balance the game and ensure its survival long-term, fine. Just don't be surprised when opposing realms start keep-taking instead of 8-man (  ) and the server population drops to a level where its not worth logging on. You don't need to change anything, but if you choose not to then you better accept the consequences of not addressing this issue. |
