hello, I am new to the uthgard community but no stranger to classic DAoC.
I recently started playing and have had no problems till now.

when I select my desktop icon "uthgard" it will open the home page here to select play.
I did that and a client patch came in... probably 5 times now I have logged in and the client patches too 100% but will not launch
or anything. I only have the option to cancel and the launch process takes me to the client update all over again.

Check your task manager for "uth.dll" - it might be in state "suspended". you can either end it and try again, or right click and choose "resume process". This can happen from time to time on some systems. try whitelisting uthgard.exe and uth.dll in your AV
