Encountering a error when launching and selecting characters. Goes something like this...

Press "play" in top right hand corner of browser (typically Chrome)

Uthgard Launcher starts and patches to 100% and closes. (takes 3 seconds)

DAoC opens to classic loading screen and loads to 100% (take 5 seconds)

Character selection screen appears like normal with all characters.

I select a character and press "play".
This is where the error occurs, the game will sometimes load correctly and everything seems just fine. Other times it will not load and crash with a screen that tells me DAoC has stopped working for no real reason why some help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you use any custom UI?
Please try switching to the default Atlantis UI in the DAoC option (Character Screen) and then try logging in again.

No custom UI here, but I will try your suggestion when I get home tonight. Thank you for your response Genjiro. I will update with more info later!

Okay, I have checked to make sure the Atlantis UI is selected from the options on the character screen. Still inconsistent logins. Almost seems to be a 50/50 toss up whether I'm going to load in or not. Tried altering some other graphical settings as well to see if that would do it....Nope not that either. Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Are you from the US? Might be worth running a Pathping to check your ping to the server.

Do you ´ve problems ingame too? Lags, disappearing mobs/players, lags or linkdeads? Does other games run properly on your computer?

Yes I am a US player. I do not appear to be having any latency issues. After about 8-9 times I can log in and change characters no problem, but as soon as I leave the character selection screen to desktop BAM the process starts all over again. Very baffling.
I don't have any issues with any other game on my computer. I've had Uthgard installed for sometime now and it has never done this before. I even did a fresh reinstall of DAoC and the Uthgard launcher just to make sure.

Hmm, that ´s really weird, normally a game is running or not, in your case you can play at least but the login seems to be interrupted somehow. As daoc was running before properly on your system it might be some update of your operating system or a sofware conflict that causes the problem, maybe check your virus scanner/firewall or if you installed some other sofware lately that might cause a problem while running. My guess would be virus scanner/firewall settings but it ´s only a guess.

You can also try to reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 and Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 for x86 (64-bit) maybe it helps, good luck, hopefully you can fix the problem.

Okay well thank you for the suggestions I will keep trying to find a solution and if a viable one becomes apparent I will update.
