Even if the other server fails, those players won't be coming back here. Population was steadily dropping months before the other server was released on top of a population chart here, recording participation since Uth 2 relaunched, showing a downward trend all the way to today. Uthgard is not some unheard of server. I think it's fair to assume 95% of the players on the other server have heard of or at least played here and are well aware of what's offered here and for one reason or another just don't like it. Wasn't that the general message echoed over and over to people who advocated change? If you don't like it here, play somewhere else. They simply made good on that suggestion. Uth 2 was vision first, players second. That left a sour taste in too many mouths and for those reasons I can safely assume they'd rather get on with their lives or play something else before considering coming back here.

To summarize my deleted comment. I can't log in because my house burnt down, taking everything I owned with it, friends came back to Uth then left again after finding nobody to play with, and we should just revert everything back back to Uth 1.0 when playing here was fun...

No way dude, Uthguard is on track. A high of 60'ish active online players at peak time for a couple of hours a day and then a active pop of between 20 to 30 the rest of the time is totally sustainable numbers.

Anyway, didn't you see my Resurrection Pool post? The pops going to jump up to 300+ in April for sure dude. Trust me, I'm making this all up.

You know what's kinda weird that I just thought of at work was they probably have the funds for a second server...why couldn't they offer players the Uthgard 1.0 server along side the Uthgard 2.0 server?
Load those backup's onto a new server and let people have fun; leave Uthgard 2.0 to what it actually is, a masterful work of art that shouldn't be touched.

At least we had enough players there who want to RvR and they played at least 3-4 months a year. Current free shard population is hmmmmm, I think they'll jump to wherever "action" is and where "population" is high, which means any free shard is doomed to fail. People need to commit to a server and try to contribute, not just hop to various new servers. I mean, let's say the action on the "other server" starts dwindling in 6 months and population goes low in a year or so and a new server of some sort is announced, people will jump to that new server even if it's complete garbage. Anyway, time will tell. Rebooting uthgard1 is the best option just because we'd have quality people who want to RvR, even if only 60% of people come back.

At the moment I have not seen a big team, as many of them "were level 45+, but I am pleasantly surprised to see a grp Hib inc at Dun Ailine last night and even come back after being pushed back.

Because need courage to build hib grp, and that they came back a second time, I decided to commit suicide my grp on Scat rather than the relic close to Dun Ailine. Even if we had a bit skylark hibbie in Dun Scat, they had deserved their share of fun and some RPS, suicide on NPCs or on PG anyway, only in the narrow mind of some elitist that it takes on importance.
