Suggestion for more action in RvR

Hello,
I know that the situation is more than unsatisfactory for everyone at the moment. Too many deffers in Midgard for Albion, not enough people on the server, hardly any Gm's left, etc. My suggestion would be to set the keeps to a maximum of level 6, there are hardly enough people here to get level 8 keeps and higher. Maybe that will do something in the rvr, if not you can claim the keeps higher again. This morning it was about claiming the keeps in Hibernia, everyone was of the opinion that level 4, a maximum of 6 is enough, maybe there will be more action. Feel free to write your opinion about it, but please stay objective. |

I think the issue is far beyond the keeps, but it's generally speaking a good idea.
Last night, Albs were able to give a pretty good fight against the Mids.... but when they started to lose, most just logged their high RR alts to then sweep aside what is largely a low-to-mid RR Alb battlegroup. Totally get that they are entitled to do that but it's demoralising and we're losing some frequent players from it. I don't get the impression an unofficial cap on keep level is going to change it. At this point I think we need innovation but it's not going to come. Really wish for something to change so that it can become enjoyable again and maybe bring some folks back. |

That's exactly where the problem lies.
We need changes and innovations, but I don't think these will come from the GM's. Rather, I believe that we as players have to find ways to bring about or stimulate change. But nothing will change by standing still and you have to be prepared to accept changes and adapt your style of play. I did this here to collect suggestions that we can implement from the players' side and that make sense and are adapted to the number of players. From there on to happy posting. |

Yeah Allyk123,
what happened after us 11 mids got stomped by 16 albs is that we lost one player and decided to switch from a cast train to melee damage. We kept the support, there was no changes: 5L3 warrior -> 6L6 skald 5L4 runemaster -> 5L4 warrior 2L2 bonedancer -> 4L9 savage 6L3 bonedancer -> 11L0 berserker I might be missing one swap here but that doesn´t matter at all. We been outnumbered and after some "changes" in setup we been back in game again. I died on a few fights early on and got /rude right away from some alb. The same alb decided to suicide or bail on the rest of the fights when they still been ongoing for whatever reason, really "innovative". Don´t just ask for changes, buckle up and play. From what I´ve heard going on over there in Albion, maybe use some kind of voice chat in 2024. Get your people to play somewhat useful classes. Usually it´ll get better. Hopefully all of us that love this game so much aren´t doomed because of all this dodging fights and keep trading galore got our brains toasted. Satas Hakx - various artists

That's actually a complete fabrication of what happened, and of what does happen..... but it's not about that and more finding a suitable and adaptable method to bringing an enjoyable RVR experience which I think most can agree is needed because it's stagnant right now and driving people out. Innovation that works, and not losing a fight and either A) rage quitting or B) switching to high RR alts would be a very useful start. I'd start with the OP suggestion in actually upgrading keeps/doors, specifically to and no more than level 6 to give people RP's and make it worthwhile. |
