What is the point of having a crafter? ([B] [ALB] potions!)

People farm... and farm... and farm. Then they go to a lathe/forge/table and craft... and craft... and craft. Hours, days, months and mithrils later they can call themselves a legendary crafter. Sometimes they even display "legendary <crafting skill>" on their names. Then someone goes on broad and says "need a <craft>er" and no replies...
There seems to be ALWAYS someone at a forge/lathe/table but why little to no people want to to trade... I can not lie, I did have responses to my /broads looking for crafted gear, I even got free gear once, but those were just one or two every lots of attempts to trade. Attempts made at 150, 70 or 10 players logged, same thing. Yay, I tried guildees, but either half a dozen is on or crafters at Agramon. Just wanted to point out something I have noticed of late, maybe players focus so much on acheiving the so wanted legendary status and making level 50+ gear that they forget that there is a whole server that also needs low level (40) stuff. Anyway... Need POTIONS for ALBION: -DEFTNESS and DEXTERITY elixirs -Combat SPEED boosters -HEALING potions, if implemented |

you don't tell the level needed.. but i think it's for your scout.
isn't he 50? so why not get charges in place of potions? there are much more easy to use and more powerfull <img src="http://www.fallenearth.fr/daoc/daoc2.php?player=Panachou">

We have most of the crafters in my Guild (Hib) and we have our Boards up for Crafting. if some one needs gear they just post there and with in a week they get he item thats needed. maybe try that in your guild? :+)
all our crafters are pretty busy but posting it in the MK boards they normaly get around getting the item done ^^ now for Leg weapons O.o thats a problem on this server ^^ |

Not 50 yet.
I realized the other day that maybe people are just doing something else when they are asked to craft. There seems to need 2 coincidences in order to happen a trade with a crafter: first, they have to be logged in (of course) and second, they must be actually crafting at the momment you ask them (nobody leaves a closed DF just to get a bit of gold selling things) The auctioneer solves the problem. If any alchemist out there wants to make some money while rising alchemy, fill some bottles (or barrels, why not) with DEFTNESS, DEXTERITY and COMBAT SPEED potions and put them on the auctioneer. If the price is not absurd, you have at least one bidder! That is why charges are even more difficult, Pana. Ordinary gear can just be put on auctioneer, or guild vault, house vault... but that can not happen when putting charges on weapon/armor. But it IS a good idea, if charges can be refilled by NPC enchanters as I suppose, once I FINALLY get a spellcrafter to put charges on something it is just recharge with enchanter whenever I need. But first need to find spellcrafter. |

Charges are crafted and applied to equipment by Alchemists
And recharged by NPC, that's right. |

Buyout option on auctioneers could help.
It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.
