If i want to buy it from other ppl i need lots of Money,RvR won´t give you that much Money --> i gotta PvE.Easier faster and cheaper to use all 5 LG(M) Crafters of my Guild to get my new SC Anyways,if the rate isn´t to high its oki for me,doing a new SC once a year sounds oki

market system sounds nice, but with everyone going rvr how will they ever get the money to pay for good stuff? problem is: someone needs a MP long sword, they wan't to know how many golds you want for it... i have made MP's with first or second try, but on the other hand, i once used 7 plat to craft a MP robe...
if i hear what luv tells me abouth live servers a few years ago, even 99% stuff was costing an arm and a leg, i see 99% items on auctioneer allmost every day, going for material price +5 or 10% crafters selling stuff for peanuts make other crafters look like thieves if they make a 99% item for a player...i know it is tempting to sell the 99's you get while making MP.. just to get a little profit... btw.. how come salvaging crated items make you loose money? npc gives more for it then you can salvage out of it... |

Thats just wrong, Monty. On live servers up to 99% items floated the housing-zone
markets about half a year after the housing addon was released. Most prices went down to raw-material or 10%markup price. This was the result of 99% items being considered waste of masterpiece production. The big money makers weren't crafters ... the big money makers were the players who had been able to massively farm artifact monsters and other rare items. |

I have 6 leg crafters on Uthgard.
SC is the only profitable business. But only because I make the compelete temp for my customers. All want MP armour but nobody even wants to pay the statistical material costs. Forget about crafters to earn money ..... @ Haldan, The house merchant was a possibilty to have your goods for sale for a longer period. The autioneer on Uthgard is not a suitable alternative.

everybody have acces to all crafter chars or at least some guild mates are crafters and wont earn money for crafting.
if you need to get a new equipment you won't ask to anybody... you'll log crafter and do it. if you need a new ewuipment after 6 months, you'll spend more time for crafting and less in rvr. if you have to buy a new one, you'll spend even more time in farming... you craft to get equipment and not to get money... why would you need money for other thing than equipment?

haha i'd be really happy about a buyout option on the autions as a buyer. waiting 99 hours to buy an item is nearly impossible for me it seems, i havent successfully bought an item ever even though i have tried a few times

I can understand your problem monty.
The problem isn't that you raised a crafter. The problem is that noone gives you the money you need. But if it is like this you have to be hard. It isn't you who wants to craft all the time. It isn't you who need the item to be craftet. If someone wants to buy something from you, just say him the price. If he doesn't want to buy it - his problem. If those crafters stand together and don't let theirselves exploit everyone would be happy. You asked for the situation in other realms. In Hib there are no really moneyproblems for the old players. You earn a lot of money in RvR too. So if someone asks me for crafting I normally would not do so or do it for a high price. And they buy those high price mhbs cause they need them (guildmates are something diffrent ) Hope you don't stop playing monty Duke |

Monty is true
Nowadays 99% will not give you any profit. Cause theyre just too many for it. And theyre is a too small market for mp. If you only craft 1-5 parts you'll have a too high chance to average need more than 80 tries. Example Last time someone asked me to make a chain mp torso. I asked for 10 platina. Wich is 50 tries with 50% profit. But after 90 tries I still don't have the mp. So I ask for more money. I got 2 extra platina. Got another 20 tries. and still no mp. Money gone, player unhappy. Only solution is getting another player buying the same item and hope you get 2 mp armors in less than 60 tries. But there isn't someone else. Another solution is ask a higher price. But are players willing to pay 20 platina for a mp chain torso? I calculated the following: There's 18% chance to get mp within 10 tries. There's 63,5% chance to get mp within 50 tries. There's 11% chance to need more than 100 tries. There's 5% chance to need more than 150 tries. There's 1% chance to need more than 230 tries. There's almost like 0 chance to need more than 650 tries. (calculated with Texas Instruments Ti-83 PLus, I put the formula 1-binomcdf(x,0,02,0). at the table you will see the tries and how great the chance is to get one or more mp) What I want to say is that if you make one mp torso and you'll need to craft over 150 tries you're kinda broke. If you make 10 pieces you have a 5% chance to need over 800 tries. Greater Market is lesser tries a piece! |

don't you mean risk? |

book says kansberekening, free translated ChanceCalculating
hmm a buyout option can increase the price. And putting something on the auction has to be a low price at first to tempt players buying it. But atm there are not many players. And the only things you can easily get from the auctioneer are boots/hands. Theyre made to raise the level. So I guess that'll be temporary. |
