Hey Uthgard! :)

I actually think that wizzards have been forgotten and "put aside" lately, and i want to bring back the attention that they deserve.
Few months ago Bloodwyne had started a poll if wizzards should have NS, but that was not taken too seriously, and because it being an old post, it didn't really make sense for me to reply to it, so instead i started one.

The equivalent classes to the wizzards are: Runemasters in Mids and Eldritch on Hibs. Both of these classes have NS, so why not wizzards? i dont get it.. both of these classes even have debuffs to stats, and a runemaster has speed, and eld has mezz!! 8O (but that's a diff story) the point is, i think the wizzard class is really put down compared to the equivalent classes and NS makes a HUGE diff in RvR.

i.e eld vs wizz - eld obviously casts nearsight (2300 range  )= wizz screwed, then eld casts bolt, bolt and dd.. wizz doesnt even have a chance - cuz by this time the wizz is tryna get in a sufficient range cuz his bolt range has been decreased to 650+/- (65% Destroy Sight if i remember correctly) which is really pathetic!

Please do something about this!!!

Each realm on uthgard has one class that can cast NS (eldritch, runemaster, cabbalist).

It has been added on live servers with patch 1.83, possibly to have a second NS-Caster in albion (hibernia got banshee and midgard warlock).

I see no reason to implement that spell for the wizard on uthgard.

wizzard (to be exact earthwizzard) got his nearsight after 1.80.

so far albion has his nearsighter (cabalist).
the only problem of the alb-nearsight is....its in the PvM line (matter) which is nearly useless in RvR except the nearsight, but thats an other storry.

ya because runemasters sup line is a ton more usefull xD - ok a bit more than cabbies - but imo the winner here is elds when it comes to NS

thats daoc - learn to live with it

Nixian i would suggest u to stick to the post and stop telling me what to do and what not. Your vote has been casted and opinion has been stated, that's all that was needed by u, nothing further.

@ H-man
yeh it's all well and good that the cabby has NS, but how does that make sense?! i mean the classes that have NS on the other realms, are the classes that are suppose to have NS, unlike alb, NS has been given to a class with a pet! -_-

Musikus, i'm not arguing about a cabby being mighty or not, a cabby without NS is well over-powered as is.. their pets do everything, whereas a wizz has no adv like that and therefore NS for a wizz would be a balance..

stop thinking for a class in solo... the job of wizard is nice in group, just like any alb class... if you want class solo designed, go hib...

maybe there is a problem with wizard but it's not the NS... maybe the problem is the casting speed cause wizard is a pure dammage dealer...

just test a group based on wizards... with AE dammages and bombing... maybe that could work. but that's sure wizard is not a solo class.

if you wanna play solo reroll a cabbi ;-) with i win buttons , any noob can play it and rocks ^^

Not going to happen.

There is nothing to discuss here. :)

Its not a V.1.80 ability so it won't come.

Supafly, save your breath - there won't be any after V.1.80 abilities implemented on uthgard. :)

So wizards die to eldritches who have 65% nearsight and 2 bolts. Interesting...

Thats the game at V.1.80. No one says and said that all chars are equal in power and abilities. But uthgard is as live servers were at patch V.1.80.

Just accept it, some chars are weaker, some are stronger than others. There won't be any fixes to certain classes, because thats a pandoras box...just think a bit about it.

Wizards may be a weaker class than elds. Maybe...

But thats a thing you have to live with., i'm sorry. :)
