Nice to hear that Presto

I would try 50 spear / 38 stealth / 43 bow / 6 Beastcraft

You would have better stealth then most with serious damage on spear. You get a pet that is 80% of your level anyway. Hunter pet abilites arent implemented. You get a small get away speed yell and your bow will be max damage and best crit shot. Go Alchemist and make lots of pots and use charges. You will be scary.

I hope to see you in DF.

Well hunter speer styles suck xD. U got a nice backstyle but hey u are a solo class. U dont have snare. And the anytimer combo pretty sucks with a dwelve of ~0.4 and 0.6 ?

Why u need more than 39 in speer? with decent sc u reach 39+11 already. I dont think styledmg will be reasonable more with 50+11.
I would like to see some numbers here - if not :)

Beastcraft really sucks since all buffs can be charged.
All you get is a blue pet, which is ok for pop bt or little rupt.

I suggest go on a instant 50 shard.
Check gameplay of hunter.
Check various speccs.
And then try one on uthgard.

really?
I thought pets maximum is the following summonspell. So e.g. if you have the lvl 13 spell, lvl20 pet is the maximum. I checked it and it seems to work this way on Uthgard too :)

my experience as a solo spear hunter:
the nearer you get to 50, the less enemies you can take.
at 50 you can't win vs any assassin because they all have viper and with the detaunt bonus they evade just too much. not to mention, that the after evadestyles are best styles they have (diamondback, hamstring, dragonfang). so you look out for rangers (which are hopefully hybrid  ) or scouts (which are rare). if you get really lucky you may find some other prey, but you just can't rely on non stealthed soloers.

conclusion: find a shadowblade to duo or get prepared to be frustrated. :D

Most people dont evade a lot due to detaunt style spam but because they run dex + dex/qui charges/ pots combined with evade 7

it just adds up to a lot of evading

Nixian - 50 solo NS - no detaunt on my quickbars

With Buff Charges and Alchemist Pots freely available to everyone, the effectiveness of the Self-Buff-Lines Beastcraft and Pathfinding is low.

I had a lot of bow and PF, then i found out that bow damage is not worth a point and only leftover points went to PF, because i can just charge those buffs without wasting Points and most of the Buffs from charges are even better than the self buffs.

At level 50 the insta pet is level 40, he does typically 15 to 20 damage to level 50's. He misses alot. He only good for an occasional interupt on casters.

I'm really debating if any points should go into BC. I use pots anyways, not a big deal to add another buff pot for Dex/Quick.

On live i could charm a level 41 pet, I can't seem to do that here. Not that it would make much of a difference.

Is there a cap on the number of charges/pots you can have active at any time?

well... kind of... 9 i think, because when you drink/use the 10th your first would be running out

but nobody needs that many anyways i think... lets see
str/con
dex/qui
str (do the base pots stack with the spec pots?)
con
dex
AF
Haste
health regen
endu regen (only lasts 2 minutes)

and to be honest... who really uses that much? ^^
