Thinking bout rolling an arms to 8v8 with my guild, but I see no armsmen around so I'd like your input about the class on this server and what's wrong with it..
From 50 Arms preferably.
Thanks.

i´ve played one here. no quickness + no haste effects whatsoever and you will hit like a truck.

the class itself is fine . but nobody wants to play it cause as a reaver you kill even fulltanks within one slam. armsi needs like 6 sec for a swing - pbt is a pain there:P

its a good class for spikedamage though.

halfoger 15str 10dex or con
50 pole
42 shield
39(41) thrust /*autotrain

highly reccoment thrust - polearms are 100% str based , even the thrust ones .its the best damagetype vs supporters.

merc+armsi AT works out really well though. you will dish out a ton of damage with positionals - at the price of a very slow attackspeed.
can show you some screenie´s with 900+ hits on druids ... really nasty. but like i said - mad slow :P

just make sure your positionals land and the damage is fantastic.
fine class for 8v8 , but weak for 1on1s.

Thanks for the info, though I did 15 quick 10str and I kinda wouldnt like the no quick idea to spike out dmg.
I intend to cap quick so I can snare the tanks off of support, then again I heard ppl talk that growth on pole styles was nerfed a bit here.

Something tells me I should roll a merc for 8v8 and not gamble with arms.

Think I've seen an arms in a 8v8 maybe twice; Whiskers and Maxwell.

and sledge :>

better roll a merc...

armsman is a funny class, but it's true - armsmen aren't invited very often.
snaring tanks? a hybrid spec paladin could do the same. and you wouldn't lose the dmg !
without qui/haste etc, you really deal a lot of dmg /hit ... but if you miss only once (bubble ftw...) over 500 dmg is gone

a merc's dmg for example is more continious

A snareing tank would sure help in alot of fights tho ^^

i know when im out if we dont have at least one tank that can snare its a pain in the butt to drop the other group ^^
